Haha. June isn't far and will be here before you know it! It's already February. Insanity! I'm 2 years off 30 and want to be in the house before then hahaha Have you finished all of your selections then? Just waiting to start? Very lucky indeed. I still love the idea of living in Mount Barker. I really liked it up there in that estate. Will have to do a drive by our old lot 365 and see what could have been. Surely someone has snapped it up. But yes, it is really pretty up there. But you'll love your home on your big block. So it'll be interesting to see what everyone does... We think with all this waiting around time, everyone will be ready, set, go once settlements go through. It'll be bustling all of a sudden once we we're allowed to actually build! But yes, it is really pretty up there. But you'll love your home on your big block. 365 is gone only 3 or 4 left I think now? I have no idea of who the other neighbours are... Only 361, who are both lovely and Marc & Emma down on 350 i think. The rest is a mystery basket now!! So it'll be interesting to see what everyone does... We think with all this waiting around time, everyone will be ready, set, go once settlements go through. It'll be bustling all of a sudden once we we're allowed to actually build! Exactly. Aww that's so nice to hear you say that it doesn't matter where you live. When we were looking at land again, that's exactly what I said! It will be interesting to keep an eye on the other blocks and try to meet as many people as you can to find out about their builds. Apart from our neighbour across the road in our 12 block estate, I don't know anyone. I think it's a good mix of age groups, which is good. Well let's just hope that you get the all clear to start when they say they can. Pumped to see more photos! I started the home building process when I was 29, I'll be 32 before its finished! Not saying that you'll have an experience like that, ours just went wrong at every turn but just keep in mind that there can be delays that you never expected. However, it did give us time to save which was great! Re: Mt Barker Simonds Sierra Build - The Orchard Progress 192Feb 03, 2014 5:07 pm I changed my internal paint colour today... I really liked the colour we picked - Haymes Sanctuary, but after visiting the Haymes Paint Centre I feel that it's a bit too warm/tan for the colour scheme we've ended up going with. We thought it'd be ok because we have warm/browny toned wood floors but I couldn't get it out if my head... We have 2 Exposure feature walls in the family room and 1 in our bedroom wall (which we love) This is Exposure - our feature walls Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And this is the complimentary colour on the wheel that was suggested to go with it, and that I have now changed to. It's called Spatial & is lighter and more grey toned. I love it. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ That's about it for today's fluffing around! Should look great in your house. Re: Mt Barker Simonds Sierra Build - Changed the paint colou 194Feb 03, 2014 10:03 pm Loves those colours, will look great Re: Mt Barker Simonds Sierra Build - Changed the paint colou 195Feb 03, 2014 10:19 pm Thanks ladies! I've luckily seen spatial on a wall & really liked it. It actually is a bit lighter than what those pics show, but it really does throw some nice silvery tones. Hubby took some convincing, he really liked sanctuary... So after (many) discussions, visualisations & mucking around with colour boards he finally agreed to Spatial. I really didn't want to paint it in something I wasn't 100% on. BIG job to fix (I'm hopeless at painting) and not something I wanted to bother to do when I didn't have to...
