Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 22, 2013 1:37 pm Hi, anyone here willing to share pictures of a house they have built with Austral red gum bricks? Having limited success trawling the internet at the moment we are building with porter davis in greenvale and are currently torn between brick selections..... Re: Austral Red Gum Bricks 2Jul 23, 2013 12:25 pm I'm going to assume you mean the Greenvale in Victoria.... Have you been to the Austral display at Lalor; the sample walls are outside so you can go there any time for a squiz. Also ask your builder to give you the addresses of other houses they have built with the brick you are considering so you can go and do a bit of "stalking" If I recall correctly I originally chose "homestead red" but it was waaaay too orange for my liking when I saw a house built with it. I also looked at the Red Gum but can't remember why I didn't go with them. Eventually I settled on "Lawson" bricks which IMHO have a nice mix of brown, red & grey. Here's a thread with a pic of the red gum sample wall viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14063&p=168204 Hope that helps Hi We have Hybrid Spotted Gum Hp0995 from carpet call.
