Re: New Living Homes 744Feb 22, 2018 9:49 am After receiving 'letter of commencement' from bank, NLH generally says it will take 20working days to start the construction. How accurate/ on time they are on that point. Any one want to share any comments / experience? Re: New Living Homes 746Feb 22, 2018 10:13 am Released to construction 30/11/17 and our block had been benched 8/12/17 with slab poured 18/12/17. We now have frame up, roof on, windows in and bricks starting today! Happy with the build progress so far. Re: New Living Homes 747Feb 22, 2018 4:12 pm im currently waiting for our building contract. Is it roughly 3 weeks from signing part a plans or from colour selection? Re: New Living Homes 749Feb 22, 2018 7:35 pm Colour selection comes later. But that colour selection process is very simple and will be a small 15mins session. Not a day long and detail session like other builders. Re: New Living Homes 751Mar 01, 2018 9:20 am Once contract is signed and 5% deposit is given, how long is the approximate wait time to start building? Karen sent me an email with all the documentation required before CDC approval Re: New Living Homes 752Mar 01, 2018 9:23 am ZoranaAlex Once contract is signed and 5% deposit is given, how long is the approximate wait time to start building? Karen sent me an email with all the documentation required before CDC approval Ours took around 8 weeks. It’s all different depending on if you need developer approval as well. Re: New Living Homes 753Mar 01, 2018 12:59 pm Any one selected external colour 3. Chiffon brick and feature post shale grey. How it looks like? Both colour looks contrast or same? Is the colour surfmist on feature post will look good? Any one like to share any photo? Re: New Living Homes 755Mar 01, 2018 8:35 pm subhra1981 Any one selected external colour 3. We have chiffon bricks with shale grey but we are only just at brick stage. We went with a monument roof (very dark) so hoping that the shale grey will be a subtle change and not as stark as surfmist as it is quite light. We also went with dark windows as well so didn’t want to bright for posts and garage door Re: New Living Homes 756Mar 04, 2018 9:04 pm Can we buy lights/ ceiling fan/ other electrical things by ourself and give it to NLH electrical team to put it on with labour charge? Any one got experience on that? Re: New Living Homes 757Mar 07, 2018 7:35 pm subhra1981 Can we buy lights/ ceiling fan/ other electrical things by ourself and give it to NLH electrical team to put it on with labour charge? Any one got experience on that? The electrical company will contact you at build stage and go through any additional work you want to have done. We didn’t get them to install, but did add in extra points for lights and fans and they will provide you a costing. I can’t see why you couldn’t provide for them to install. If not I’d get them to put in the allowances for the extra points and then have an electrician come in to hook them up later. It’s much easier for the points to be added at roughing in time then post handover. Re: New Living Homes 758Mar 15, 2018 4:54 pm Can we later add another gas point when the time comes for that? Has anyone done this and know the rough cost? Re: New Living Homes 759Mar 15, 2018 5:34 pm This is a part of the plan. If you want it after DA then nlh will charge admin and redrafting fee of $690 on top of gas point charge of$350 Re: New Living Homes 760Mar 15, 2018 5:35 pm This is a part of the plan. If you want it after DA then nlh will charge admin and redrafting fee of $690 on top of gas point charge of $350 I would be wary. Is you site demilished but nothing else done?
