Then after xmass break they finally submitted it with all changes they want. After that it took 2 weeks. But if we consider the whole time, even in my case it will b around 6-8 weeks It will be 3 weeks waiting on CDC approval making the whole waiting time to total of 10 weeks now since the land has registered. I can’t understand how some other private ceritifiers are doing it faster through to CDC approval (particularly Eden B. homes; as early as February they have been completed in council). Main concern is NLH will be charging extra by the month after my fixed contract price expired in November 2017 so it is very frustrating, apart from the already long wait. Re: New Living Homes 766Apr 01, 2018 8:17 pm Hi, any one knows how NLH provides service for NBN connectivity? Do they connect from home to the main hub normally fitted out side house each for couple of houses? Or owner have to pay extra to the internet service provider to connect through cable? Re: New Living Homes 767Apr 03, 2018 6:27 pm It depends on where your building as to what version of NBN you get. I'm building at Macarthur Heights which is NBN fibre to the premises and my house plans clearly show the nbn ntd in the garage next to the Hills home hub. Re: New Living Homes 770Jun 18, 2018 2:49 pm cherryripe_ pw1923 We are having trouble deciding on brick colours but leaning towards Chiffon, since NLH don't have any light bricks to choose from. What colours are other NLH owners choosing and has anyone gone with a non-standard brick colour? Thanks. We went with Engage. We went to Austral Bricks to have a look at their Everyday range there. The lighting wasn't great at the NLH colour showroom on Spring Farm. Do you have a picture of your home with the engage Austral bricks?? It would be appreciated. Thank you. We were told we would be getting a clal from the Electrical company- Jade Electrical to discuss our electric plan- what exactly is this? Re: New Living Homes 777Jul 05, 2018 8:44 pm Aariv212 Our site supervisor was Luke and he was really good..Gavin was initial supervisor but only for couple of weeks so cant say much about him.. We were told we would be getting a clal from the Electrical company- Jade Electrical to discuss our electric plan- what exactly is this? Your electrical plan discussion is your opportunity to talk about things like if and where you might want extra powerpoints. You might want to discuss what sort of light fittings you prefer eg downlights, wall lights, any external spotlights/floodlights, ceiling fans, that sort of thing. Just remember, you don't have to go with the lights Jade offer. You can buy your own online or at a lighting store and just have Jade fit them for you. We bought our downlights online and save a bundle. It can be a bit daunting, especially if you want downlights because they want you to mark on the plan exactly where you want them to go. What we did was look up the virtual tour for our house design and make note of where the lights were located in the display home and went with that. Re: New Living Homes 779Jul 05, 2018 9:09 pm Oh wow! I never expected this! haha, we thought it was already in the plan, they decided where everything went. So with our tender, i think we have 36 LED lights throughout the home, so we choose where they all go? now im a bit confused! Did you have to pay for downlights or did you get extra? Which facade/plan did you choose? Re: New Living Homes 780Jul 06, 2018 2:47 am ZoranaAlex Oh wow! So with our tender, i think we have 36 LED lights throughout the home, so we choose where they all go? now im a bit confused! Did you have to pay for downlights or did you get extra? Which facade/plan did you choose? We built the Kirra with an Elegance facade. Standard light fittings are usually batten style so if you want downlights, that's an extra cost as you have more than one downlight in most rooms. For instance we have 9 LED downlights in the dining/living area. We had to mark on our electrical plan where we wanted those 9 lights located and also how many switches we wanted to operate them and in what sequence. We have 3 light switches to operate 3 rows of 3. We also needed to decide whether we wanted the 3 rows to run north-south or east-west. With powerpoints, New Living Homes allocate a certain number per room and you pay extra if you want to add more or if you want to upgrade a single powerpoint to a double or if you want different coloured covers on your powerpoints. We chose LeGrand Urban Grey for the powerpoint covers in our kitchen and butler's pantry, We purchased our own ceiling fans for the master bedroom and the alfresco (if you do this, make sure the fan is rated for outdoor use). We also chose to have two twin LED tube lights in the garage instead of one single batten light. We have 3 LED sensor downlights under the eaves outside the garage, one on the front porch and one outside the laundry door. We also have sensor floodlights on the side of the garage and off the back of the alfresco. I would be wary. Is you site demilished but nothing else done? Sounds like liquidity problems to me.
