We built the Kirra with an Elegance facade. Standard light fittings are usually batten style so if you want downlights, that's an extra cost as you have more than one downlight in most rooms. For instance we have 9 LED downlights in the dining/living area. We had to mark on our electrical plan where we wanted those 9 lights located and also how many switches we wanted to operate them and in what sequence. We have 3 light switches to operate 3 rows of 3. We also needed to decide whether we wanted the 3 rows to run north-south or east-west. With powerpoints, New Living Homes allocate a certain number per room and you pay extra if you want to add more or if you want to upgrade a single powerpoint to a double or if you want different coloured covers on your powerpoints. We chose LeGrand Urban Grey for the powerpoint covers in our kitchen and butler's pantry, We purchased our own ceiling fans for the master bedroom and the alfresco (if you do this, make sure the fan is rated for outdoor use). We also chose to have two twin LED tube lights in the garage instead of one single batten light. We have 3 LED sensor downlights under the eaves outside the garage, one on the front porch and one outside the laundry door. We also have sensor floodlights on the side of the garage and off the back of the alfresco.
Oh my! So we have a lot to think about then! I know we have 36 LED downlights throughout the house and double powerpoints in every room.. did you get this option or did you pay extra? thats why i’m a bit confused, don’t want to spend extra money for something that was supposed to be included. if its just deciding where the lights go then that’s ok. How much was it roughly to purchase the fans and have Jade install them? And for the sensor flood lights for outside, were they pricey? How much was the colour powerpoin, i know they aint cheap!! Haha sorry about all these questions, just trying to get my head around it before they call!
