Time to build a Washington 29 Wisdom Home 83Nov 28, 2013 3:00 pm No Jazz_J, no action and not likely to be until sometime in January. Wisdom are organising the demolition for us but I thought I would take it upon myself to contact the demolition company today. More disappointment for us as they told us they were backlogged because of the rain and wouldn't get to ours until January even though Wisdom told us this week demo would be done before Xmas. They obviously had not spoken to the demo company. Another 2 months of wasted rent for us. The lease on the property we are renting expires in Feb and it is also being demolished, which we weren't told when we rented it, so looks like we will have to move again, before the new house has even started. I really would just like to walk away from the whole thing as we just seem to have one problem after another. I wonder how much our land would sell for with a DA in place. Re: No more renos! Time to build a Washington 29 Wisdom Home 84Nov 28, 2013 7:17 pm Hang in there Gregol02!! We can share a celebratory drink if we both aren't already alcoholics when this is all done! PS in this market, "land.... with a DA" in the area you are building would sell pretty well I think........ but don't let me talk you into it. I guess fortunately for us I only have to go and demolish some weeds which have grown pretty well in this rain! We also have a nice little wattle tree starting to grow on the site so I might see if I can put it in a pot and fit it into my plan! Thanks by the way transformation. I will be camping by the site with binoculars looking for that loo on a truck! Time to build a Washington 29 Wisdom Home 96Jan 10, 2014 5:18 pm Hey Transformation! We just returned today from our holidays so I haven't looked at any house stuff for about 3 weeks! Drove past the block on the way home. Nothing has happened since the block was leveled last year so hopefully the slab might start soon. Great news about the progress on your build. So exciting! It must be a little easier for Wisdom to move quickly on your build as you are in an estate which probably means their resources are all together (although we are just down the road so hopefully it isn't too hard to get contractors to us!). Anyway we will wait again excitedly for our slab. Time to build a Washington 29 Wisdom Home 100Jan 13, 2014 8:24 pm Thanks cpaces. It is nice to see you are up to the painting stage. The wait over Christmas must have been a killer when you have already had so much of your house done. It probably was easier for us as we hadn't had anything really done so we probably had a little less anticipation! I would think you just get more and more excited as you go along once you start seeing the house take shape. Aheron must be boiling with excitement by now.
