The home i moved into recently has a hills 1600 central vacuum system installed in it. I've had no problems with it what so ever until the other day my daughter vacuumed up some large clump of clay wth god knows what else. it seems the motor has seized up. Does anyone know if it can be repaired or replaced? Any suggestions would be helpful If the motor needs to be replaced - as a guide it would be approx $200 to $400 If the clay is stuck in the pipe you'll have to have that clean out as well Is there any noise from the motor at all?
