Did you use a inspector? Get one for your final inspection. Where are you building? There were details shared above for an inspector a couple of days ago. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13904Jun 22, 2017 8:34 pm [quote="lostcourse"]Hi everyone, This is my first post and I'm building a villina elite. The build is almost over but I'm having massive issues with the brickwork. M had a go at fixing it, and have now told me they are happy with it and are not prepared to fix it anymore. I have gone to the office of fair trading and am now waiting for the inspector to come out in about a month. Anybody got any tips in dealing with M, I can't seam to get past my ss and account manager. Lostcourse I would not accept that brickwork, we had brickwork re done in certain spots as we would not accept it the best thing I can say is have everything in writing and at PCI and handover makes sure anything you are not happy with is on your list our upstairs floor is very noisy it creaks loudly in spots when we bought it up at PCI our SS said we don't need to list it I will fix it, never happened and it is getting worse. Even if your SS says it does not need to be listed if you are not happy with it do not sign PCI if it is not on there... Send pictures and ask him if this is the quality he would accept. After months of complaints to SS and area managers going unaddressed we went to David and actually got a resolution we were happy with. I will try and contact David Masterton. Below are some other issues i'm having that they refuse to fix. They built the parapet and balcony wall too high and are refusing to rectify it according to the architectural plans. They stuffed up the ceiling at the entrance door and wont fix it. It should be like the display home on the right. I paid extra for shower strip drains, but they installed them with gaps in the wall. Both my upstairs showers have this. Does anybody else have them installed like this? I have never seen a new shower with gaps in the wall. Whilst I love our house, it's not perfect, some of the horrible workmanship annoys me. Plus having to wait nearly a year to get things that were outstanding from PCI is ridiculous...poor communication, poor turn around times, poor customer service and poor quality all around Hope your issues are fixed everyone. Keep going to fair trading as it's what finally got our issues sorted Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13909Jun 24, 2017 10:18 am Hi everybody! Haven't been here for a while, things have been moving along but have started to slow down, always the way when your nearly at that finish line!! I don't think we are far off PCI, painting outside needs to be finished, electrical fit out and flooring would be the major things we are waiting on. So sad to read about all of these terrible experiences! Lostcourse - we have the same wastes in our showers and are installed the same as yours. My dad is a plumber and said that he hasn't seen them installed like this before. We will be speaking to the SS about it. Great news in PCI Gibson! Martins Harmony - your place is looking great! Here are some pics of our progress. Love your colour choices! What house design are you building ... I can see some similarities but didn't think you were building the Harmony Elite? Very happy with how it's coming together. Although I still wish the walls were whiter haha. Anyway, I can live with it! We are building the concerto elite, they are very similar floor plans! We drove past today, and they are doing our flooring!! Woohoo!! Can't wait to see it! ❤️ Concerto Elite Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13912Jun 24, 2017 4:13 pm Are those tiles in your bathroom part of the standard mansion pack/YES inclusion selection or did you need to upgrade? We've put in all these provisional allowances for tile upgrades in our tender so just wondering. Such mixed experiences on this forum. I guess it really depends on which contractors you get on your site and how good your SS is? :\ Tempus Elite Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13913Jun 24, 2017 4:28 pm Hi Izee, We upgraded these tiles, we spent around $5000 extra per bathroom including floor to ceiling height, coloured grout, channel grates etc. I agree with that comment, this is our second Masterton build and have had good experiences both times. This one has been even better than the first and I'm putting that down to a great, organised and experienced SS! Where are you building and which house? Concerto Elite Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13914Jun 24, 2017 4:30 pm Can anyone tell me when Ark install shutters etc? We didn't use them last time. I'm wondering if it's something they install at the very end before keys, or is it still after keys around appliance time? I'm wondering if it's something they install at the very end before keys, or is it still after keys around appliance time? Hi Shell90, Our shutters from Ark were installed before PCI but vertical blinds were delayed due to incorrect measurements. Pretty happy with shutters except for a few of them which needs a little nudge to close but they will check if they can fix it. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13919Jun 25, 2017 8:59 pm For everyone that's built with Masterton and have just had colour selections, according to the yes inclusions there is a choice of 2 bamboo floorings. Could you guys let me know what colours they were and whether you went with something else and the price differential?
