Your $80K stormwater looks very overpriced if it is just those 2 concrete pits. I hope the solution is to your liking and I hope it is done quickly. You should be able to get your keys at least if you've paid PCI progress payment. You may wish to consider Office of Fair Trading. Hi Martins Harmony, I like the second one! The first is too much contrast and darker tiles will be hotter under foot. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13963Jul 11, 2017 11:29 am MartinsHarmony, personally I like the 1st one, cooler feeling with grey tone. Suppose both will look nice. We had grey tiles inside, then Concord (Brown tone) bricks. Had timer like darker colour tiles for alfresco, turn out pretty nice (nicer than photo, hoho). My neighbour had bright colour for their alfresco, more contract, very nice too. Got our letter yest as well. He's tried his best for us but he seems as worn down as us.looking after 30+ houses with 1 lot of tradies is no fun I guess. We signed PCI 2 weeks ago even though we had 130 items to fix (a few biggish, most small). Now submitted handover payment request with loads still outstanding (most big fixed). Vs the cost of renting, we'd rather just move in and fix the remaining 100 minor items ourselves if we have to! Just so worn down from 2 yrs of this. To M and SS's credit they are making a real effort to close off this week before school starts Got the liquidation damages credit. They only took into account about half the actual overdue time. Standard practice with all builders to count rain days even if roof is up. So $25pd compensation for a 5 bedroom house to cover for rent! Main thing I'm worried about is the post handover aircon install. The last time the guy was there, he cut the sarking and left roof tiles out and the place got flooded. Still some vents not done so hope he doesn't go cutting and messing around again... Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13965Jul 12, 2017 9:39 am Does anyone have a control joint in their gyproc and can show me what the finished product looks like? In good news, we are full steam ahead. Insulation yesterday, gyprock today. Kitchen install and painters booked for next week and tiles hopefully the week after!! http://preludehome.tumblr.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13966Jul 12, 2017 11:07 pm shell90 Hi everybody! Haven't been here for a while, things have been moving along but have started to slow down, always the way when your nearly at that finish line!! I don't think we are far off PCI, painting outside needs to be finished, electrical fit out and flooring would be the major things we are waiting on. So sad to read about all of these terrible experiences! Lostcourse - we have the same wastes in our showers and are installed the same as yours. My dad is a plumber and said that he hasn't seen them installed like this before. We will be speaking to the SS about it. Great news in PCI Gibson! Martins Harmony - your place is looking great! Here are some pics of our progress. One person even told me he was sure it was in the HIA manual. Sure enough I found the reference. HIA General Housing Specification Edition 2 16 Tiling 16.2 Installation All vertical and horizontal joints between walls and fixtures e.g. bench top, bath, etc. and wall/floor junctions shall be filled with flexible mould resistant sealant. I hope this help you. I'm going to bring it up with my site supervisor tomorrow. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13968Jul 17, 2017 9:47 pm It's all happening for us. Hahahaha I love it!!! http://preludehome.tumblr.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13971Jul 19, 2017 4:14 pm Looks great beeprelude! Love the window splashback - my home isn't configured to enable a window splashback but gosh I like the look of them. I love the corner shelving on your island bench too, it's a clever use of space. Can't wait to see more pics as it comes together. Way to go Gibson! Looking forward to news of keys soon. Any pics? We still have painters on site. Looks like we've had the first coat on walls, internal doors are being painted and I spotted the architraves/trim being started today. Painters were happy to let me poke my head in. We are so happy with this new SS probably the same one as you Quasi and Sunshine125. He is well organising and regularly updates so justin two weeks there's almost some activity happen on site such as tradies and delivery. By this speed we hope to have keys on time @ end of October. Next week is lower roof finished then gyprock will be in the week after. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13974Jul 22, 2017 11:03 am Six weeks with not a single.damn.thing. happening on our house. Incredibly frustrating. I've stopped driving by to even look as I want to forget it's even happening atm. And yes, they know how we are feeling. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13978Jul 26, 2017 12:02 pm Rox82-- Hey, Does anybody have any experience with waterproofing... this is what they have done below where our freestanding baths will be installed. It doesn't seem right? Surely they aren't just going to tile a hole? what if the floods, it will fill the roof cavity. Also does it matter that they have used two different products? Both bathrooms are on the first floor? Hi Rox82 Our bathroom was done the same way. After the waterproof they built a wall for the bath, tiled over that and silicon the floor to wall join to make it waterproof. They will have to tile around the floor pipe and make it waterproof , if you have floor tiles under the bath.
