The Progress Claim stage 6 (PCI) payment; is that issued after PCI is signed off. Is it just invoiced/emailed like all other Progress Claims? The Progress Claim stage 7 (handover) payment; is that not issued till PCI payment clears? Is that invoiced/emailed or is a bank cheque required at handover? Does the payment have to clear before keys are given over? They issue the PCI claim at the point they consider the build to be at PCI, they then have 10 days from PCI to fix any 'minor' issues and then they issue the final progress payment request. Once you pay the final payment you get key. For us they couriered the keys and our 'gift' to us. You can go to Warwick farm, or if you have a good SS they might meet you at your house. After that the appliances install is arranged. Our install started last week, but M had to get trades back in to fix up a few things. Remainder of install is happening this week. Also, how long did Masterton take to fix all the appliances after handover? PCI to keys was about 3 weeks. It was another 3 weeks before they started installing the appliances. Everything was meant to happen the same day (15th Aug) but there were issues with the aircon, hit water service, garage door motor and rangehood. Part 2 of our aircon install is happening today but we are still waiting in the other things to get done. Really helpful information. Our house is covered in a blue pox AKA Practical Completion Inspection occured today Wow that's quite a few blue tabs on those walls alone. Are they paint issues? Presumably the painters missed a few spots or you can still see the brush marks? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 14088Aug 23, 2017 11:52 am A fair few were scrapes and dings from other tradies (accidental ladder dents and scratches) after the painters had been. Electrical also caused a few blue tape areas with misplacing downlights, so patches of ceiling needs repair & repaint. The gas point (being a metal fixture) also had some scraping around it on the painted wall. Very few blue tape spots are due to the actual paint job, I was quite impressed. We had a few paint runs on the doors, a couple of spots needing a bit more paint and just one place where we could see brush marks. All up the painting was done well. Is this normal timing or were you delayed because of your SS? We are very close to PCI but have no clue how long its going to take for handover.... We slowed down the PCI payment as we wanted a couple of things fixed before we would sign and the SS was a week late in completing the Post PCI fixes and then M took longer than they should to organise the appliances , then some of the installs didn't happen as earlier work had been done wrong and needed rectification. Our contract was meant to be completed in Feb this year, so our whole build has run late. Thanks! Rox82, your bench tops look soooo good. We were wanting something like that when went for color selection, but gave up due to overall cost. MartinsHarmony & Gibson, congrats on PCI & new progress. Wish goes well and final handover soon!: Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 14094Aug 25, 2017 9:25 pm So our second ss just resigned. Bricks have only just finished and we are entering the 9th month of construction. I'm not really liking our chances of being in by December. We have houses and duplexes in our neighbourhood that started after us and finished well before us with people already living in them. Ughhh. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 14095Aug 26, 2017 10:19 am Good morning!! We had the plumber there yesterday installing our fittings and toilets! So exciting seeing them come together. Painters are back this morning. Both baths are onsite ready to be installed. Our septic tank was installed during the week. We have a little bit more tiling to do as they ran short of times in our ensuite. For what was such a long build up our actual build has been very smooth and quite quick in our minds. Jol0, We are onto our 5th site supervisor and are 10 months in and at the same position. Will be 2 years in November this year and I have doubts that we will be in by Christmas also. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 14097Aug 26, 2017 9:21 pm Wow beeprelude, your home is looking AMAZING. I really like the timber grain cabinets. What 'colour' timber is that? Gosh Jol0 and Sevenths, the frequent change over of SS sounds frustrating. Do they offer any explanation? That sounds like a really extreme turn over of staff Sevenths ... 5 different SS?? We had PCI on Tuesday, so we are just waiting for a few bits and pieces to be fixed before hopefully keys this coming week. I'm keeping everything crossed as we really, REALLY need to get out of where we are. The sooner the better, we are going bonkers living one on top of the other at my folks place. Last week it was 2 years since we moved in with them. We've ABSOLUTELY overstayed our welcome. Our carpet was laid on Friday. I don't remember selecting such a dark colour, I'm pretty confident that I selected a mid-grey colour so I think something has gone a little astray. But in seeing it neatly laid in bedrooms and theatre room I'm actually liking the darker coloured carpet. It gives good contrast in my otherwise very neutral house. I'm thinking it might be a bit easier to keep clean with small kids as well. My hubby really likes the dark carpet, I can live with it and I don't really want any further delays with querying it so looks like it will stay. Our carpet was thrown in by our Sales Agent, and our grand plan was to always just accept the "free" carpet with intentions to upgrade to something more plush once the kids are a little older and less likely to just demolish the luxury carpet. So looking at it like that, I think the bold colour choice will be ok for a little while.
