We originally didnt go floor to ceiling in the bathrooms as we had 5 bathrooms but after seeing a house with the basic i changed 3 bathrooms to floor to ceiling tiles and left powder room and granny bathrooms as standard heights. So glad i changed this 2 weeks before they came and laid tiles. Very happy with Dons tiles not the delay in getting to my house but they blamed masterton not booking them in. Their sales staff and installers were very friendly. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ this one in my ensuite Sandra, that looks sooo good!!! Thank you Carriehhan Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13147Jan 23, 2017 4:52 pm jol0 Thanks all..that's what I thought. We are building a double storey in sydney which seems to be two factors working against us I would hate to be the owners of the 2 storey masterton home in my street they started before me and they are just at lock.up stage no one ever seems to be working on it Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13149Jan 23, 2017 5:21 pm Your ensuite looks good, i do also like your stair case you might think its simple to you but dont forget simple is classy Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13150Jan 23, 2017 7:19 pm After PCI how long do you normally wait for keys just need to give 3 weeks notice on my rental property. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13151Jan 23, 2017 7:20 pm jol0 Can anyone remember or advise If they know of or are someone who actually got their keys ahead of their contract end date?? We are looking at November for completion and we have only just had our site scrape ...ahrhhrhr! We should have our keys before the end of our Contract jol10. We still have about another 40-50 days left but should be in within the next 30-40 working days! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13152Jan 23, 2017 7:23 pm sandra, so much depends on what you find at pci. if everything is fairly good (ie: nothing major to be fixed) then you generally will get keys about two weeks later. Most homes have a few things to be fixed - paint touch ups is the main one, but there may be other outstanding items (shower screens and the like). They will still need to do carpet and appliance usually too. Also, do you need to organise your driveway? having removalists track dirt and mud into your gorgeous new home really isn't desirable! Yes unfortunately i will have to wait for my driveway. Need to concentrate on retaining walls first too much cut was done on my flat block now i need retaining walls right round my place. I did pay them extra to cut the whole property at excavation so it was lawn ready pffff they cant even do that right i have to call a excavator back to do a proper boundary job Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 13154Jan 23, 2017 10:31 pm So with regard to getting an electrical connection for the property we have received a letter with a quoted price. It doesn't have a breakdown of the Cost. Can you actually use your own company or are you required to use their supplier? We've been told it's around 1300. Does that include the power pole? Very vague. .. We have 3 phase so it was about $1200. Once all the paperwork was done, we then chose our own company to provide electricity.
