Very exciting. When are you expected to get your keys ? Thursday 8 That's right, I remember you saying you'll get appliances just before shut down. The appliance people must shut down earlier. We have also been told we need handover by the end of next week otherwise we won't get appliances before Xmas. Which is why we had to sign off on final check at PCI. We will still have trades coming after handover but it's what we had to do. We can't move in without aircon and hot water. I wish my hubby was capable of doing handy stuff like that. I think you've also painted your lap and capped fence ? It looks good as well. I think I'll paint ours. I think every council is different ? Council is coming on Tuesday to do the interim OC. In our build, M had hired a 3rd party inspector who issued the IOC. Council was no where involved. Also note, M pays for 1 inspection only. For each subsequent visit, you will be charged $275 (this may vary). He used a spray gun so it was a little quicker to do. For full OC we just had to have our soft landscaping. For ioc we needed the things for our bal rating, driveway (which also created the front step as the drop was too big), also the steps at the laundry as we have a drop there too. https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12833Dec 06, 2016 7:27 am Yes SVE hubby painted the fence too. Our bamboo installers have ripped paint off the walls when removing the "tacked on" skirting. Aka stuck on with paint and ripped wall paint when removing. If it's not one thing it's another. Can't get the council out today because the window that was meant to be installed last week hasn't been done and the tank that was meant to be installed yesterday hasn't been done Masterton Villina Elite 2016 23/3 Slab 13/4 Frame & Windows 24/5 Bricks 19/8 Roof 29/9 Gyprock 3/11 Paint Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12835Dec 06, 2016 10:40 am S-VE I hope we don't need the drive way for the interim, the bank won't pay the final amount until we give them the interim. Know how u feel with tradies not always their fault i just came from my land the plumbers came to install down pipes. But had to leave as the rubber in between the gaps on bricks were not done. Supervisor seems to have not checked this was done. A thing that should have been done ages ago. It was mentioned in my inspectors report. Just hopeless to say the least Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12836Dec 06, 2016 7:49 pm Council ended up coming out, not sure why. It failed of course. Council is also not happy that none of the appliances are installed including the hot water system and the aircon. I'm not sure why all of a sudden this is an issue. Plenty of M houses are going up in our area. Apparently M, council and the bank are coming to some agreement and I will hear from M tomorrow. Meanwhile we still have a broken laundry window and no water tank installed. Also I don't need the drive way for the interim OC. It's dusty, the benches are filthy and that stuff on the island is all the vanity cabinets and chute cabinets that have to be replaced. Also the trim wasn't finished when I took and pic. Gotta get them back to fix the trim. It's hardly nailed in and the joins are shocking! Safe to say I'd never recommended Harvey Norman flooring, we've been stuffed around by the salesmen and now the installers. I'm happy with the actual bamboo though. Your flooring looks amazing. What did Council fail you for - what items needed attention? Are you NCC or LMCC? Pleased to hear you don't need driveway for IOC.
