We had 5 tradies on site today finishing painting and installing garage door. Given the hurry up by the look of it. Very happy with the result so far, hopefully PCI only a week or two away. Aussie blokes better wake up to themselves otherwise they will be out of jobs in no time. MGardz - No surprises there. Shire_Synergy - Your house is looking amazing. Hopefully our PCI wont be too far behind yours. What day this month is your contract up ? Rox82 - Get used to the snails pace, esp being all the way out there. NJC - What is the big round concrete thing in your front yard ? We had a quote from the landscaper who done the yard at our old house. His quoted $16,000 for the back yard. I almost fell over backwards. Apparently we need heaps of cut and fill. We will be getting a few more quotes. Yes the asian guys did the whole house and granny gyprock in.one day and no work since been done. If we had asians as our SS and our tradies i reakon our whole build would be done in 8 weeks. They just work hard and fast. You.might get one ******* one here and there but thats with any tradie also. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12571Nov 06, 2016 7:08 am S-VE we have a septic system. So that is the septic tank. With some landscaping it will be well hidden but we chose to put it there rather than taking up space in the backyard! I love a spacious backyard! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12572Nov 06, 2016 3:11 pm NJC Shama NJC Your mortar seems a lot 'whiter' than ours Shama! How recently were these bricks laid? NJC, I choose paperbark rain water tank and paperbark down pipe as paperbark blend with the stone bricks. NJC our bricklaying finished yesterday. Yes I also noticed that. May be for sand or something else as I have a very limited knowledge in building matters. Our sand was a bit yellowish. Sharma - did to have a rain water tank? What colour are you going with to match the stone bricks? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 12575Nov 06, 2016 4:49 pm Rox82-- Question: Just wondering if the garages are lined with gyprock and painted as standard (both detached and attached garages)?? Our (attached) garage was both gyprocked and painted, and we didn't need to ask for this, nor did we pay extra for it ....... don't have any experience with detached though sorry!
