I raised it at 90 day inspection an was told it would be fixed. They apparently pull carpet up and fix...the issue we now have is in regards to when heating is on via ducted airconditionong, we get lots of creaking in roof areas. Ckingo74 so i take it the squeaking has not yet been fixed???? If so, did they replace the boards or simply use nails???? 2013 1st tender 24/10 Dep. 18/11 2014 5% 25/02 CDC approval 5/5 Demo 26/5 Pool 3/7 Valid'n 10/7 Slab 11/8 Frame 19/9 Bricks 23/10 2015 Roof 3/12 Lock up 11/2 PCI 31/3 Final insp. & keys 30/4 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 5435Jun 17, 2015 8:45 pm I think our electrical consultant said we would need 1 extra light circuit for every 12 lights and 1 extra power circuit for every 6 double power points or 12 single power points. I'm going from memory though so might not have it quite right. We've had bricks delivered. - can't wait to see what they look like as a wall Masterton - Jamison Validation 10/03/2015 Slab 18/04/2015 Frames 30/05/2015 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 5437Jun 17, 2015 9:18 pm Did the floorboards creak before they laid the carpets? Our BI said to me that they are glued down and the nails are mainly there to hold them in place until the glue dries. I have concerns about ours as they have raised at the edges where they got wet. BI says they should sand them down flush but knowing M I doubt they will. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 5438Jun 17, 2015 9:22 pm thunder Hi villinaeliters - yes we have some creeking but not to the extent you describe. Raised it at 90 day and was told it was normal. M inspector suggested we poor powder on the floor and let it soak into cracks before vacuuming as "he has heard that can fix it"! It may be normal for M but in my view it's not acceptable, it's a new house and floors should not creak. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 5439Jun 17, 2015 9:23 pm brettbert R2D2 regarding the bamboo flooring what did they do in the WIP and linen closets where the shelf supports meet the floor? Or did the shelving go in after the floor? Brettbert we just did bamboo downstairs, I looked in our pantry and they took the skirting up, laid the flooring and then reattached the skirting so it looks fine, but we just have sturdy shelves across, nothing touching the floor there. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 5440Jun 17, 2015 9:24 pm Spikes Place my partner is an electrician so we just got them to do only what comes standard and Todd will put in extra wiring so he can add extra power points at any time and put in down lights after hand over. You're right re single story being fairly easy for everything to be done after. As already suggested it is good if you can match up where they put the included light with where you are going to have down lights. 5/14 $3900 paid 7/14 first drawn plans 8/14 Contracts 8/14 Plans to council 9/14 Q Central/Tiles 10/14 Colours/Electrical 31/10/14 Council Approval 11/14 Block cleared 12/14 Pre construction complete 4 17073 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16393 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20541 |
