Pikey and ren1979 posted pics of their kitchens and its straight. pikey if you still visit the forum did you specify to make yours a minimal bulkhead as looks much thinner? The architect plans I have shows it straight. Buildersbob so do your construction plans show a step? Did you have to tell them to put it in like that? Hi MGArdz ...I still come on occasionally for a browse... My Artline plans showed the same as yours but didn't turn out that way. Even better than Artline's plan that followed the cupboards .We have higher cupboards 2400 mm and the YES package height ceilings...2600mm ?? Are your ceilings higher than that? Or are the cupboards the standard height? We didn't ask for anything special that's the way they do it and we were happy. I was after your bulkhead in my kitchen as its more minimal, as such want to be sure its reflected clearly on my construction plans as sounds like I have to in order to avoid issues. I raised my kitchen height to 2400 and have the 2600 ceiling so fingers crossed. If you dont mind I'd like to show M this pic so I can be sure? My artline drawing has the very small strip that steps around following the line of the cupboards, has no bulkhead drawn on it but then has referred to Masterton for the bulkhead saying bulkhead to suit 2400 kitchen. So this sounds like its referring to what you have. My architect plans then have a straight bulkhead...so sounds right, i hope Cello - again so in love with your home. What a lovely reminder this stress is worth it Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3814Mar 05, 2015 6:22 pm Hi Mgardz - no problem showing the pic. I would say they are all the same. There is a short (old style Art line type) bulkhead running in line with the cupboards and then the one above is straight across and gives it a modern look. Villinaeliter - Yours will look great too. Villina Grande Handover 10/9 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3815Mar 05, 2015 6:36 pm Hi Pikey thanks for that. I have emailed my PCC now to make sure as we are building a Fernleigh but requested a Villina kitchen which is in the tender and looks like it on the architect plans. All M's issues that emerge on the forum make me so nervous. I think both options are beautiful too though. Villinaeliers did you get a resolution? I hope you did Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3816Mar 05, 2015 6:47 pm MGardz Hi Pikey thanks for that. I hope you did For sure and you can't be too careful at this stage... we had lots of issues and I addressed them all with them when they did the construction plans and the ones they would not discuss I took to the ss when we were in construction, like the laundry taps and the WIR and Pantry fit out. This is the time when you live and breathe every inch of your future house to make sure they have it right. Villina Grande Handover 10/9 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3817Mar 05, 2015 7:16 pm Thank you for your help and your advice. I really appreciate it I'll make sure all the details are looked at on the construction plans before signing. If the bulkhead is wrong surely it's an easy fix? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3818Mar 05, 2015 8:33 pm Hi everyone. Well we signed off on our construction plans today after I quickly checked with our PCC about the bulkhead situation in our kitchen. I wonder if M are getting a marked increase in bulkhead queries? Redwynne we picked pgh smoke. There was one that was almost the same, I think the consultant could see we were settling for the one closest to our favourite. Was great to be able to use it. It was about 9k to get to diamond. Cello. Your home looks fantastic. If mine looks half as good I'll be very happy Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3819Mar 06, 2015 2:52 pm Well, our windows are now officially glazed! Looks fantastic. Seems a bit slow finishing off last things such as front door and the bit of roof around the garage. I realise I have very little idea about what I need to do post handover in terms of actually being able to live there. As I understand it, there are certain requirements to meet and then I apply to council for an occupancy certificate? I have heard I need to complete the driveway paving, and fix the footpath outside, and the council made replanting native trees as a condition of occupancy, so i guess this means I would need to do landscaping as well, which i was hoping to do slowly once moved in... So, can anyone point me in the direction of a comprehensive list/explanation, and what have i left off my list?: Driveway/concreting front wall/fence/letterbox electrician to install LEDs and other lights and fans (we're doing this post handover) fencing (quotes to all neighbours etc, if I share a fence with a council park, does that mean the council has to share the cost of that fence with me?) deck out back (plus electrician for lights/fans etc on deck) plant 2x native trees to meet council requirements general landscaping/turfing etc.. Any help appreciated! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 3820Mar 06, 2015 3:24 pm Pikey MGardz I wonder if "straight" is standard? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Pikey your bulkhead looks great like that - however I think ours will look a bit odd as we have 3m high ceilings in the great room so the Builders bulkhead is going to be over half a metre in height (as our kitchen cupboards are 2400mm high) and will look (in my opinion) quite cumbersome. Still no resolution - it's Masterton doing battle with Artline at the moment, they appear to be in a joust as to who is required to do the work. My Artline quote (for my upgrades) states clearly, in a separate section entitled "Bulkhead", the following (and I quote) "MDF Bulkhead (by Artline Kitchens) to ceiling" just under where they note "ceiling height at time of kitchen consultation is 2943mm". So I figure that they have charged me for it in my quote (which is not itemised) and therefore I should be getting it. SS is on the case .... and I will get the bulkhead I want eventually, but all I see at the moment are delays delays delays while we wait for them to figure things out ......! 2013 1st tender 24/10 Dep. 18/11 2014 5% 25/02 CDC approval 5/5 Demo 26/5 Pool 3/7 Valid'n 10/7 Slab 11/8 Frame 19/9 Bricks 23/10 2015 Roof 3/12 Lock up 11/2 PCI 31/3 Final insp. & keys 30/4 4 16735 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16008 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20181 |
