Yes I got a quote 2 weeks ago and can't even get to the point where I place the order. Got the guy out of bed at 11am the other day with a phone call...I almost hung up it was so awkward...geez I just want some blinds...too hard for you? LOL Did your gyprock start? Villina Grande Handover 10/9 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 2330Oct 22, 2014 12:36 pm don't think they have gyprocked yet (not as of this morning...... haven't done my afternoon check yet!!), but they have done the wall insulation so gyprock must be any day now. re;: window coverings...... it makes you wonder if they actually want the job! often the same problem with so many suppliers! We are building single story. I will see what quote they give for down lights and heat light fans for the bathrooms also ceiling fans for a couple of bedrooms and the alftesco. Does anyone know how much they charge for the wiring of a fan and the timber baton in the roof for a ceiling fan without fitting a fan? We changed the exhaust fans to 2 lamp light heater exhaust fans in our bathrooms...... they were $216 each. The listing from the electrical people says "includes extra safety switch and extra circuit", which may or may not be needed for all houses as I think it depends on how many light/power points/etc you are already putting in. Once it goes over a certain number, they need to put in another circuit/safety switch. Also, I didn't get a message from you, so a sent one to you! Does anyone have any images that they could show me of their down lights they have or any pendant lights that they may have in the kitchen? We were thinking to do pendants over the bench but are unsure still. Also if anyone is willing to show me their electrical plan. Especially if you have a single story house that would be of great help. (we are first home buyers and completely lost when it comes to electricals.) Hi Melnick Here are our pendant lights and downlights in the kitchen. We had them done after handover. The cords on the pendants have straightened a lot since then. Apparently if you have only one heat light it can go on a circuit with other things but if you have 2 of them they need to be on their own cirucuit seperate to everything else, so I have been told from an Electrician. So $216 each isnt too bad! That's actually really reasonable, it wouldn't be much less than that to do post handover! Has anyone already done a price comparison? Anyone with a Villina and pendants lights mind sending me their electrical plans and quote? I havent got my plans scanned onto the computer yet only hard copy but can give you a bit of an idea of what we did with our villina. We didnt go overboard with downlights and only put them throughout the main areas. We kept standard lights in bathrooms, powder room, WIP and laundry as well as all bedrooms. We are putting fans in post handover in all bedrooms. We added in total 18 extra lightpoints including 5 for pendant lights and 24 downlights throughout entry, downstairs living/dining, kitchen, greatroom, upstairs living and upstairs hall. We also added some points for future sensor lighting outside and points for lighting in the back area outside where our deck will be. We had to add another light circuit and safety switch and extra power circuit and switch due to our changes and we also added 1 extra powerpoint. Our total cost was $3681 which was reasonable for us. We originally planned to just have light points added and do downlights after hand over but in our case, our beacon quote for decent downlights was only a little cheaper per downlight uninstalled compared to masterton installed so spent the few extra dollars per light to get it done.
