Ours is due shortly and they seem to be still clarifying info. I don't understand why they are taking so long. Building the Villina Grande Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1247Apr 13, 2014 10:36 am I have a questions for the Villina builders who have a sloping wall at the staircase. What does it look like on your ground floor plan and your construction detail plan? I have been going through our paperwork to find IN WRITING how long it will take to build my house. I have had a read through some posts - but the ones I have read are 2 storey homes. I have a vague memory of 120 days - does that seem correct?? And with the 120 days - that is where their rain day claims obviously come into effect - as do shut downs.... I have read through our red and blue standard building contracts - and I can't seem to find the magical number of days. What document should I be looking for?? Does anyone have any answers?? As I have removalists RE-booked .... and not feeling confident thanks Sandy Building the "Symphony Grande" with Masterton Homes If I ever remember to update it - check out my blog http://fernadell.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1250Apr 13, 2014 2:08 pm .... sorry all.... found the RIGHT document .... 160 days ..... bugger Building the "Symphony Grande" with Masterton Homes If I ever remember to update it - check out my blog http://fernadell.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1252Apr 13, 2014 4:52 pm sandyglenn23 Hi all I have a contract question... we are building the Symphony Grande - we are almost at Practical Completion.... with ALMOST being the big question. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1253Apr 13, 2014 5:30 pm Sfok5959 Thanks GillyM. Our contract period was 130 working days. So 26 weeks. I did a rough count. I think we are at 19 weeks. It really depends on your SS and how much the builder is doing on your home. Our slow point came after PCI inspect as we found some detects that required some hard work. Some other people building with M on the same street who started later than us and have already moved it. I guess it is safe to say you should be in by 10th nov, provided there isn't much wet days and public holidays. Builder doesn't want to paid $50 a day if they are over the contract period. Hey sfok5959! Did u get your keys? What were the defects that you had to get fixed? Our land settled last week and in one week we ripped up the asphalt (it was previously a carpark), dug the pool and are putting in the fiberglass shell tomorrow. Land is due to be pegged out any day now but since ordering the peg out I've found out I'm 100mm short of fill accross the site so my demo guy is bringing that in. Does anyone know if it's important if they spread it out or not? My pool people pulled out a storm water drain that I later found out that I need to reinstate! And I've also found out that I have pipes being run through where my pool is that need to be rerouted. Ahhh I can't wait till Masterton finally take over the site as I'm sick of the 10 calls back and forth each day about things I have no idea about! And of course so we get underway! We sold our apartment two weeks ago and the new owners have agreed to let us rent it out from them till we move so we feel so blessed! Can't believe it's all happening! So excited to hear another cello is complete! Post some pics! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1254Apr 13, 2014 6:44 pm Hi all, Great to read everyones progress:-) cello - you dont muck around lol hopefully M will take over the site very soon! Sfok - did you get your keys? Exciting weekend for you if you did I have a quick question. We have just got council approval etc and i have been thinking this weekend i want to upgrade the staircase to all timber as at the moment its carpet. Has anyone upgraded to timber and roughly what was the price? Secondly, what are the chances they will say yes when i call tomorrow? I am happy to pay the contract variation fee of $1000 or should i call the stair coy directly? TIA Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1255Apr 13, 2014 7:21 pm Kjhosko Hi all, Great to read everyones progress:-) cello - you dont muck around lol hopefully M will take over the site very soon! TIA Hi Kjhosko we went with stained maple wood and stainless steel staircase and bamboo steps to match the floor but they gave me a price for all wood stained as well. I can give you the prices if you like by pm? What does it look like on your ground floor plan and your construction detail plan? What do you mean? From my plans mine looks the same as the display home at Gledswood. Elevation A view is the best to show details Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1257Apr 13, 2014 8:13 pm Kjhosko Pikey I have a questions for the Villina builders who have a sloping wall at the staircase. Elevation A view is the best to show details I just looked at our elevation A again and I can see they drew it as a full wall ! I was so obsessed with other things we needed corrected I missed it. The page with the ground floor plan contradicts it as its drawn the same as the brochure and the display home. We looked at the frame again today and we will live with it as we enclosed the room anyway. Hoping the top storey frame goes up tomorrow the floorboards were done yesterday. It has been a fantastic experience and new 'friendships' over 2 years since I joined H1, and the information gained has been invaluable. I hope I was also able to help others from my experience and happy to continue to do so via PM. (Still member of H1). I congratulate all who are about to move into their new home and offer patience to all in the process. It will be well worth the wait in the end. Thank you and BE GOOD to one another. Your blog and videos are invaluable and I am sure will be watched for a while to come. I hope you and your family have settled in nicely to your new home. I wish you all the best!!! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1260Apr 14, 2014 7:39 pm Feeling quite good about our build at the moment despite confusion with the staircase wall. 4 weeks ago today they broke ground, there's been heaps of rain and we already have our second storey up, roof trusses on one side of the alfresco, and the windows arrived today as well. The framers are there at least 10 hrs. a day This is probably our full on happy phase I'm sure it will slow down at some stage and we will be irritable but had to share Villina Grande Handover 10/9 4 16555 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 15822 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20036 |
