We did that all ourselves. Its only a villina 32 on a dead flat block. 200 days excluding the 20 day start makse mine a ridiculously long time considering the sales lady said on average it takes 26 weeks. Our bricks just arrived. surely its not going to take another 33 weeks from here on. This is week 9 but they started only about 5 days into the 20 day period. 2 story houses are normally 34-36 weeks, less holidays and rain days. 26-28 weeks are single story buildings. Unless they have changed, you can correct me. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1148Mar 20, 2014 8:38 am Guys, I have another question, our front window seems to have the design in it of the circles linked, like what you would find on a sliding door so people don't walk through it. I went and checked the display home and it is not a part of it and I've also drove around the area and no other homes seem to have this. Should I call my SS to complain? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1149Mar 20, 2014 10:14 am does anyone know what this conduit will be. It is behind the kitchen sink conduit but doesnt seem to go out under the house . I have a conduit coming out of the slab where the island bench will be. Im wondering if they link up. For instance our whole house is either rendered or bagged. The extra time might be to allow this in the schedule? What's your external finish? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1151Mar 20, 2014 3:12 pm Fingalbrad, hubby is a sparky and seems to think you are correct, that the pipe is for the island bench. I know nothing about construction but that is his thoughts too. Btw... Your frame looks good! Which facade is it? Building the Villina Grande Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1152Mar 20, 2014 4:15 pm Hi we went for contemporary and made the parapet out the front smaller as we thought the bigger one will look old fashioned. We will most likely render that. What are you building? Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1153Mar 20, 2014 4:16 pm dream_home93 fingalbrad no mine isnt a knockdown rebuild. Just bricks but we will render afterwards Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1154Mar 20, 2014 7:09 pm I received my construction plans today. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1156Mar 21, 2014 6:39 am Does anyone know if the painters use rollers or spray guns when they paint your house?? Rollers are so much better but someone told me they will most likely use spray guns because its quicker but means the paint isnt as thick Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1157Mar 21, 2014 9:43 am fingalbrad Does anyone know if the painters use rollers or spray guns when they paint your house?? Hi Ren we had a few headaches with ours but all sorted now (hopefully). It is almost construction time for you.... We are on a fast train now to being slabbed Our SS rang today to introduce himself and advised weather permitting it will be poured next week. Gee it's exciting we go there everyday and it is taking shape. Piers done, wet area pipes done and forming up is almost done. Villina Grande Handover 10/9 Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1159Mar 21, 2014 12:04 pm Hi Pikey, I remembered you mentioning dramas with your plans so I check over mine too many times to count. Luckily they were all good so I signed and dropped off this morning. Our construction certificate has been applied for. I was told this would take about two weeks. Can you tell me if I have to wait for the certificate to validate or if we can do it while we are waiting? You must be so excited to see your build happening. You will have to share a photo of you slab when it is down. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 1160Mar 21, 2014 4:48 pm Hi Ren I don't know sorry. Once we had our plans sorted everything was go go go. I wasn't across the certificate part of it either so it must have been a non event.lol Villina Grande Handover 10/9 4 16735 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16007 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20180 |
