It depends which promotion you signed up with. The current promotion (with higher base price) has soft close as standard. Our thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67954 Re: First home build with MainVue - Amalfi532 28Jul 29, 2013 4:41 pm This weekend visit was perhaps the most exciting visit so far, we were looking forward to seeing the proportions and layout of the rooms as there isn't a display of an Amalfi 532 anywhere. Apart from the cleanliness, we are quite pleased with the progress so far. I didn't want to bomb the site with too many pics, so for a pics overload kindly head over to the blog. I was thinking I'd have the same feeling about our kitchen when we see it (after being spoilt by having seen the display ones so much!) but have to remember, even a house half the size of the display will be amazing compared to our current one - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. I was thinking I'd have the same feeling about our kitchen when we see it (after being spoilt by having seen the display ones so much!) but have to remember, even a house half the size of the display will be amazing compared to our current one haha, that's exactly what my wiser half said too, that this is a big upgrade from our current situation and that I should stop complaining. The damn 632's with their tall ceilings has definitely spoilt me! Re: First home build with MainVue - Amalfi532 32Jul 30, 2013 8:31 pm txateu love the garage size, I have the same! The hallway seems more narrow than I expected, maybe it'll look wider with some plaster on the walls Yeah i reckon the garage was worth the upgrade, helps eliminate the need for a garden shed for us. Good point, no wonder they removed the entry wall niche, which as displayed at PointCook. I also felt the pantry was surprisingly small, not a deal breaker,as its just a scullery. The posts are just so helpful. Getting to know what we will be getting into.... aaaah the adventure! Love the look of mainvue though! It sure is an adventure. We traveled all the way to Sandhurst/Cranbourne to view the one Boutique homes display we liked then. We've been quite happy with the progress so far, most of the project builders have similar inclusions, while the stuff which is different the client eventually ends up paying for it either by way of a higher base price or as an "once off" promotion. We choose MV Amalfi as we we happy with the floor-plan and had to make no structural changes to it. Once that was sorted forums like H1 will gave us a good idea of owner building experiences with those builders. MrsT12 I hear the cool kids all use Mainvue... Yeah MV is definitely the rising star, in an otherwise 'stale' project builder market(by stale i mean the floorplan and and inclusions were very stock standard) When we were hunting for a builder the below came in very close 2nd and 3rd. Carlisle Ascot Mk2 33 http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/find-a-home/ascot-mk2-2/photo-gallery/search and Boutique Riviera 33 (used to be called something else then) http://www.boutiquehomes.com.au/home-design/riviera-33 Re: First home build with MainVue - Amalfi532 38Jul 31, 2013 3:42 pm I just discovered your thread! Keep up the photos Hi Emptyspace, thanks and welcome! it was only a matter of time you'd have spotted a fellow MV'er thread, besides my signature was a dead giveaway! hows' your building permissions coming along? Re: First home build with MainVue - Amalfi532 40Jul 31, 2013 4:02 pm haha sorry I caught on a little slow! Well nothing is coming along at the moment. Our MV admin person has not responded to our emails asking about what is happening and what is being done about our developer knocking back our plans! We are starting to think we are being ignored, but we will wait till Friday and start calling if nothing is done. And if they say I am very busy again I might just lose it a little bit because we have been patiently waiting for a quick email to update us for over a week now! So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 28576 hi guys.
