Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 803Apr 17, 2015 10:56 am Regarding contract issue, contact Amber Davis at Building Commission for acurate advice. Currently we have been offered conciliation meeting through Amber to assist in completion of our home. This pathway we feel will potentially succeed in completion of our home. Just like everyone else affected by FL our frustration and stress levels are very high and it's very unfortunate to find ourselves in this position. Previously FL could promise anything and not deliver, they now have a Gov dept checking on everything therefore that has to provide a more positive outlook than we previously have had. All complaints must be lodged and accepted by the Building Commission, we fel to try and deal direct with FL will potentially delay progress and solutions to the situation we are currently finding ourselves in. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 804Apr 17, 2015 4:20 pm I feel the media attention is good? These builders should be named and shamed, and hopefully no one else builds with them... though it would make it worse their financial position worse. I hope all of you resolve your issues quickly Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 807Apr 18, 2015 9:39 pm Have you seen the comments under the Video of the story on the Nine news facebook page? Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 810Apr 21, 2015 6:54 pm N3ll3 FirstHomieCoolbellup Just heard about the channel 9 story via Josh's email tonight. I think this is a really poor outcome. Media attention isn't going to help our situation. Whether we like it or not, out interests are tied to free life's interest at this point. The faster they can dig themselves out of the Sh!t, the faster we get houses. Jeopardising a merger/ acquisition / financial assistance with negative media attention right now helps no one !!!!! Couldn't agree more. Would I have contacted media before the update this week? Quite possibly. Would I after we received it? No. Sad, and I hope this hasn't jeopardized anything. Okay I'm going now! Promise! Haha. Good luck to all. Sit tight... I doubt media attention would have any affect on a merger/acquisition - if someone was looking to take over this company they would be doing so with full knowledge of the hole they are in, they would have done their due diligence and obtained a few years financials etc. Depends on what the company's situation is - are they awaiting finance themselves/require an extension on an overdraft/bill facility to cover their cash flow, that would be the only situation that I can think of which would resolve the situation quickly, if they have been holding out for some sort of finance approval to cash them up in order to pay suppliers/contractors and continue to travel along with construction. Otherwise... If I were all you guys I would be going straight to the HIA or ombadsman and getting your claims in there asap whilst its still relatively at the beginning of the end for them .... has anyone done a VEDA search on them? Do they have any adverse information on their file? Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 811Apr 21, 2015 8:32 pm N3ll3 Has anyone heard anything since the Channel9 segment on Friday? I'm getting a bit antsy! I'm getting a bit antsy! A bit antsy N3II3 ' What's another 2/3 weeks in the scheme of things ' Haha good one, but only a question I should have explained myself a bit more - I meant on a personal update level, not in the situation I used the '2/3 weeks' previously. Thanks Mandy+Steve I'll look into that. Not heard of VEDA before, only searched ASIC in the past. Good luck guys, I'll pop in to the forum next week unless the infamous announcement comes out earlier!
