NO WAY Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 536Mar 23, 2015 11:50 pm Hi, I am building with Freelife Homes and have had the same problems with this company. It has always been my dream to own my own home, and was so excited when I signed up with them June 2013. My slab was put down March 2014, followed by the bricks. But due to the front frame being undelivered I waited 7 weeks for that then the roof shortly after! The plumbing was put in, wiring, but waited a while for the render and from September 2014 to beginning of march this year nothing had been done on my property. Thanks to my lovely friend she hounded them to do my plastering, but it took a lot of stern talking to the management for it to be done. Now I am waiting for the painters which are suppose to be booked in but never turn up. The kitchen still hasn't been measured and proper doors not put on. I have had constant conversations with management and staff, but all i get is excuses. They say they can't get the trades, but all the other building companies on that estate have over taken me by far. So what's going on? They have already had an extension to 2nd of April, but will not meet this deadline. Having a large operation, just recently for cancer and funds rapidly going down because of expenses, I fear I could lose my house. I am technically homeless, have to move out very soon due to circumstances, and finding a rental for short term is impossible!!! I am so stressed through all this and feel like everyone else on here, just not heard. Why hasn't a governing body done something about this company. Peoples lives are being destroyed. I will be living in my car soon no doubt, and because I am self employed, it is affecting my business. Right now I've put a complaint in and hope the building commission helps sort this out, as something needs to happen. All I want is my own house, not hard really. A place to feel safe and warm, just like the freelife mob!!! Lucky them!!!!! Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 537Mar 24, 2015 10:44 am Does anybody else think it's slightly odd that Freelife were so on top of deleting bad comments from their Facebook site... And now their are a tonne on their and they haven't posted in over a month?! Btw HamishMacTavish, I'm sorry to hear about your experience particularly in such circumstances. Even more so, I'm crossing everything that some good comes through thick and fast! Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 538Mar 24, 2015 11:26 am I'm not building with freelife, but I'm really sorry to hear the problems you have all had to endure as a result. This is just a guess and probably stating the obvious but I think you could probably expect to see them head into administration very soon judging by the sheer number of customers that are affected by this. Re: Anyone Heard of Freelife Homes in WA 540Mar 24, 2015 1:23 pm Can I also recommend you guys contact your local MP's, they can sometimes shake things up and move things along. Builders going bust can become a political hot potato re consumer confidence. Good luck to you all. Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 25031 I haven’t. But have a Lowe Design home. Not only did I find Matt Lowe patronising and a bully, but the home is NOT TO CODE. I have water coming through the bricks… 1 14557 Hi we are looking to talk to people who have built with them recently. We have signed mid range built contract but identified that a lot of things are not included.… 0 758 |
