Thought I'd start getting some quotes. We need to build a retaining wall on the side boundary of our block. I've had a couple of quotes from some local landscapers. The guy that does the front yards for Mirvac - DRH, and another local one - Insight. Haven't made a decision yet, thinking of doing it myself with some mates. Dunno. Cant really recommend anyone yet. But i'd be keen to get a recommendation for a good fencer too. I'll ask my neighbour who he used and ill let you guys know. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 84Dec 23, 2013 10:49 am Hey Everyone, How's everyone's build coming along? They finished up for the year on Friday. They are making great progress with our place, it seems to be happening really quickly. Shame they have to stop now, but a well deserved break for them i'd say! We are at lock up stage now, doors are on, all the plasterboard is done and they've even put the kitchen cabinets in. We are just about ready to tile in the new year. Apparently the painters were looking for work so they've done the first coat on our eaves and done the moroka finish on the outside. Here's a pic of I took the other day. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 85Dec 23, 2013 9:36 pm Hi hi Spring farmers I've got my lovely(yet small) slab for Christmas so I'm very very happy. My site supervisor sounds very nice and approachable and estimated to do external plumbing 13th January and frame to be delivered around 16th. So I'm hoping for some nice weather next year. Enjoy your holidays and can't wait to see more action in the new year. Slabs always make the house look small, its weird. looks great! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 87Feb 04, 2014 3:38 pm Hey guys, Hope everyone is progressing nicely without any issues. We are moving along great! about 4 weeks to go. 86% complete apparently, haha. If anyone is looking for blinds, I've found a good guy in Narellan. We did a bit of shopping around and found him to be almost as cheap as blinds online but he installs and the quality is awesome. Plus he's local and they make the blinds in house! It's TLC Blinds Narellan, he came out and measured up for us and he knew his stuff! Anyway, how's everyone else progressing? Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 88Feb 07, 2014 9:14 am Hi everyone! We're building on Kerr Rd and are progressing nicely! At the moment we have bricks done, eaves went up the other day, along with the air conditioning, insulation and electrical. Been told by Craig that our gyprock should be delivered and in this week as well but I haven't driven past to check yet! We're surprised at how fast it's all going considering how slow the admin side of things went. Apparently tiles are being delivered at the end of this month so I'm hoping that's a sign they expect to finish soon I've been watching your progress on this forum and finally decided to say hi! We're building the Malina with Ashbury facade as well (seems to be very popular facade now!!) Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 89Feb 07, 2014 11:16 am Hi Natalie! Yeah it definitely seems to happen heaps quicker once they start eh! We are pretty close to being finished, should be getting our PCI date today actually. Pretty pumped! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 90Feb 07, 2014 6:32 pm Hi everyone and woohoo Natalie, progress on my block has been super fast. It's amazing how quick the externals are going. In the space of two weeks I've had my frames and bricks completed. My estimated PCI date is 29th May but I've been told that it's usually much sooner. Ohh great contact for the blinds, thanks heaps. Your house is coming along nicely! I actually just drove past your house looking good! And joshnjacqui I just realised I drive past your house everytime I drive to mine! Love the colours you've chosen! - Did you find out your PCI date today? From looking at your progress on here I would say we're maybe just over a month behind you? We are expecting our second bub on 7th May and the owner of the rental we're in at the moment has this house on the market so we're really hoping our place is done by mid April at the latest! Just have to sit back and cross our fingers in the meantime We have walls now and internal garage door so I would say lock up will be early next week! Very exciting!!! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 92Feb 07, 2014 8:16 pm Also, does everyone just help themselves in the fence to check out their houses? I've been too paranoid lol! I wonder if Mirvac really cares? Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 93Feb 08, 2014 10:27 pm I stick my hands in the holes in the fence to take piccies. But I've got a tour with my sire manager on Monday so hopefully I can get some better shots. It should be sometime during that week anyway. Its waaaay inside the contract period, which is awesome!
re the going inside the fence. All ill say is that I may or may not have gone inside the fence. hahaha. But Craig is really good, during the week I'm pretty sure he is near by most of the time and he's been really helpful to us at short notice for site visits. I don't think he minds meeting people there for a look, Mirvac would probably rather that than us jumping a fence. Plus you can get a better look if you actually get to go inside the house once its locked up. Fingers crossed they get it done in time for you, I rekon you should be fine. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 95Feb 10, 2014 9:19 am House is looking good too Snowflake, It is amazing how quick it goes up! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 96Feb 11, 2014 9:55 pm Hey snowflake, your place is coming together real quick. I was there two weekends ago and seen the frames up then last weekend seen the brickwork was done, looking great. Yeah those pegs have been there for a while so don't think it means too much. We finally had our colour appointment today. How long did it take all you guys to start building once you had your colour appointment? Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 97Feb 11, 2014 10:18 pm Joshnjacqui - I found those tiles you chose for your splashback hidden away last weekend at Di Lorenzo. We are picking the same but the white and cream colour, they look great. Snowflake - I remember you saying earlier you are building the ivy as well, did I count 4 bedrooms when I looked at your house last weekend? Cant go wrong with neutral colours though. All our tiling has been done, except for the splashback, waiting for them to come from Italy! lol should be here this week. Ill put a pic up when they are done. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 99Feb 12, 2014 9:25 am Waitey89 We finally had our colour appointment today. How long did it take all you guys to start building once you had your colour appointment? Took a couple months after our colour appointment. But I'd say it varies depending on when you get your colour appointment done. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 100Feb 12, 2014 11:36 am It took about 3 months from my colours to any action on my block. I asked Craig and he thinks they should be starting to scrape and flatten your block by the end of this week. Nope only 3 bedrooms, they are a descent size. I upgraded my tiles so I'm tiling to roof level and it was quite reasonable. I can't believe how quick the houses are going up.
