Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 121Apr 09, 2014 11:25 am Your house looks fantastic!! Great work with the gardens The rain has sort of held us up a bit with the pour of our driveway and also showed we have a problem with the roof (we find out what's happened today or tomorrow hopefully) but other than that everything has been moving quickly. Our driveway was poured Monday or Tuesday - I can't remember lol - and it looks great altogether now. We have been given the 2nd of May as our Handover Date so I've been busy organising payment ready to go. Baby is due on the 7th! Fingers crossed everything pans out ... hehe.. Here is a pic of our place now with driveway .. my partner quickly took the photo this morning on his way to work. How is everyone else going with their progress?? Got NBN installed thru iinet and it was easy as, they organised everything. A couple of dudes came and hooked it all up (they were from NBN Co., but iinet organised them) and away we went, was very good. The estate is looking good, all the Mirvac houses are nearly done! will be good to see all the new Starhill ones get started. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 125May 29, 2014 3:22 pm We've been going good too Baby gave us a week of unpacking before she made her entrance! We haven't had our NBN connected yet. Haven't even had our air conditioning installed lol! How are you going snowflake? It will be interesting to see the Starhill displays Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 126Jun 02, 2014 12:23 pm Hi Spring Farmers, It's been busy and crazy. With work, handover and moving in. I can't believe my house on paper is now actually real. Just had my air con and alarm installed. Hope my grass is ok after all that rain yesterday. The nbn install was quick, I went with iinet as well. Great news Natalie, big big congrats. Did you guys find many issues to fix at My friend brought in the first release of star hill and they were supposed to be finished in June, but it doesn't look anywhere even close. Garage door hasn't been installed properly, under the kitchen bench cabinet is atrocious, internal and external paint work has had to be touched up, shower wasn't sealed, windows needed realignment and sadly my glass splash back has a tiny chip on the inside which is hardly noticeable but I can see it .. we keep finding new things almost daily Hopefully everyone else's houses are better quality! Don't worry.. Your grass would have loved the rain! This was the first rain we've had since we moved in so the ground would have been pretty dry underneath. I know someone who has also bought in the first release with Starhill .. Apparently they've only just settled or about to. A bit disappointing for everyone in there! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 128Jun 02, 2014 3:02 pm We must have been pretty lucky with our house. Had a couple of paint touch ups, a leaking toilet cistern (only just dripping a tiny bit) and that's pretty much it. Oh and one of our outside lights out the back stays half on (like on but dim), which I think is a faulty switch. That reminds me I need to get them out to fix it. But that's about it really. Everything seems to be good, fingers crossed! Yeah I thought Starhill would have started a few houses by now, seems like ages. Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 129Jun 02, 2014 5:11 pm The Starhill land has been in council for registration all this time. Apparently they'll only be constructing a few houses at a time too .. So it may be a very slow process! Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 130Jun 03, 2014 10:26 am ah I see! Well glad we got into this part of Spring Farm when we did then Re: Spring Farm, Mirvac/Ayre anyone else there? 131Jun 03, 2014 7:29 pm I have cracks on some tiles and some doggy tile cutting around cornices. A small chip on my mirror, some bubbling on my roof and some paint touch ups needed but other than that it's pretty nice. Oh no that's not good for the ppl that brought there.
