Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 3Jul 29, 2013 9:20 am Hi Castle123, Congrates for the exchange! We have given the 5K house deposit so now waiting for prelimnary plans, building spec and tender. So fun part will start soon when my color appointment is schedule which is estimated to happen in September. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 4Jul 29, 2013 8:24 pm Thnx. U r way ahead of us, we are still stuck at the tender stage. Colour appointment, that sound exciting. Are you building a single or a double? We are building a single storey. Cheers Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 6Jul 30, 2013 1:17 pm I too am building at Glenfield pakside. It is nice to meet others who are in the same boat. I am still in the tender stage. It quite difficult to take decision and tender turn around time is a week. So any changes means another week to wait. Which home design are you going with? Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 10Jul 30, 2013 5:10 pm Thanks.. Oberon that you have selected has good bedrooms. Crawford is double storey but its bedrooms are small and one needs to juggle between budget and requirements. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 12Jul 30, 2013 6:26 pm Welcome avinashr, Crawford looks nice. We are building Portland. Turnaround time seems excessive to me too, i have asked for some minor variations and now gotta wait for another week. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 15Jul 30, 2013 6:56 pm Mirvac sales consultant missed to put all my variations in indicative tender so I have ask them to include in next preliminary tender which I get in 4 weeks time with architectural plans. I hope cost prices comes around the indicative guide of upgrade option. Anyone going to do any external structural variations? What would be that? Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 17Jul 30, 2013 7:23 pm Mirvac agreed to get 3rd party tradies to do tiling for the floor and allow them access to do work. Or it has to done after handover and have you checked how much it will cost for tiling by tradies. I'm planning to get the air conditioning system from the vendor directly and ask Mirvac to do all provisioning for it. Also I want to wired my house with data cables for home networking so I might ask trady to do it if Mirvac prices are out of the roof. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 18Jul 30, 2013 7:50 pm It wil be done after the handover. Currently in the process of finding a good tiler, price is around 40-50 per sq. meter. Data cabling makes sense, we are planning to get it done as well. We have also asked mirvac to only do the provisioning for air con & will get it from somewhere else. Re: Building With Mirvac @ Parkside Estate, Glenfield. 20Jul 31, 2013 10:12 am Thanks for suggesting Portland. Do you think it will be much cheaper to do tiling from third parties? Is it a huge difference? I have asked Mirvac to include in the quote. Air conditioning I have asked for ducting to be done and concrete for the Pergola. Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess. Trying to get some more information from our builder. 9 30236 |
