Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 09, 2013 10:32 pm I have done my contract appointment today with Porter Davis for my access range house.I took a flooring package for $4999.I have been charged with an extra $2200 for a 19 square house with the standard bolero floor. Is this sounds right. Can anyone help me with my query. Re: Bolero timber 2Jul 09, 2013 10:51 pm Hi Alan7, Maybe try posting in the porter Davis thread, you may get more replies. Cheers Sam Re: Bolero timber 3Jul 10, 2013 5:43 am I don't get it if you picked flooring pack for $4999, it should have carpets in bedrooms and tiles or bolero flooring in rest of the house except wet areas. Why they are charging you $2200 extra? Did you decide to go with bolero in bedrooms as well? May be they are charging you extra to upgrade from cat 1 carpet to bolero in bedrooms. Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 16074 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors.
