Hi guys, My builder supply me 3 AC provisions that are hidden in build-in-robe. As I understand, they are AC ducting for ground floor. My question is: Does these provisions include ducting already? If I plan to install reversed AC after handover, what do I need do during construction? Do i need arrange a AC contractor to lay the ductwork for provisions and ground levle firstly? SO confuse now. Thanks Re: what is the AC provision for 2 storey home? 2Jul 08, 2013 4:43 pm Normally the builders standard fit out is for evaporative cooling only. If you are going for refrigerated cooling or reverse cycle a different duct layout may be required. Best to talk with a specialist installer. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! Re: what is the AC provision for 2 storey home? 3Jul 08, 2013 4:45 pm My understanding is all the ducted are already preinstalled. If you are going to install the AC after build, I suggest getting it done now as installation after handover would mean having to remove your tiles as well as sarking if you have one. Re: what is the AC provision for 2 storey home? 4Jul 08, 2013 9:18 pm You will need to get an a/c company to design a system based on your plans and then ensure the builder includes the voids necessary for the ducting. If you have a concrete slab for your first floor you will not be able to install later if you don't make provision for the ducting during construction. Building Standards; Getting It Right!
