Look at our photos on our thread for roof colour. It's like a super dark charcoal that is quite reflective, so it does look quite light when the sky is grey. Fits well into so many colour schemes. We chose monument gutters as well, to tie in the colour, but chose contrasting fascia (Silver Beech). Good luck with your bank loan. Always nice to get a few deluxe upgrades Nitro The Village at Wellard Homebuyers Centre Ultimate Entertainer (Custom) Our Home Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61358 Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - We have our Pre-Start fol 62Sep 10, 2013 6:35 pm We have monument for our gutters/facia and front door! I love it. The ironstone, if I'm thinking of the same colour can look very blue! Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - We have our Pre-Start fol 63Sep 10, 2013 6:52 pm Great selections. They'll look fantastic all together. Monument and Ironstone both look great. That's a hard choice to make! Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - Settlement!! 64Nov 28, 2013 11:17 pm It's been so long since I've posted! I'll just give a quick update now and then when I get to a computer I'll upload some pics of our choices thus far. Our block settled on the 28th Nov - Wednesday. A lot earlier than expected.. Our block isn't even ready yet! They're saying it'll be done 4th Dec. We haven't had pre start yet - homebuyers are saying their engineers need to do a soil sample first. We might not get into the pre start office before Xmas. Lemme just say how frustrating this process is and oh my lord these people do NOT like to communicate with us! I shan't bore you with a rant about how fed up I am with homebuyers at the moment, but seriously, how hard is it to call and let us know what happens next? We are moving out of our rental in 2 weeks and into the in-laws. I was hoping to only be there for around 6 months, but that seems highly unlikely now. I am just looking forward to the building process when things are getting done!!! I think 6 months is quite hopeful especially as most builders shut down for a month over xmas. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong and you get a quick but good quality build. Let's hope their communications improve. The excitement of a build wears off really quickly if you have to deal with poor communication. Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - We have our Pre-Start fol 66Nov 30, 2013 11:55 am I think it's best for your mental health if you plan for 12 months, then if they get you in sooner it'll be a bonus. We signed on 12 March, had things rushed through because our block was already ready to go, and we're looking at 10 Feb 2014 at the earliest. Everything takes longer than you think it will. On the plus side, it gives you more time to save some more money and more time to find some real bargains in terms of furniture or fittings for your home. Here's to a more communicative experience in 2014! Building with Dale Alcock Homes in Aveley Our thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63880 And yes, my pants are indeed fancy. We've just received the site plans back and good lord.. $2400 for crossover paving?!?! You've got to be kidding me! I'll have to do some research to see whether we get any rebates from the council etc. But apart from that it's been alright! We've had pre start, but i've just been too lazy to upload our selections So here's hoping that our plans get to council and approved asap Cameron & Kelly The Vale in Aveley, WA Homebuyers Centre The Regent Our Home Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65879 Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - We have our Pre-Start fol 71Jan 30, 2014 10:07 pm City Of Swan for us.. but they only offer $400 back.. seen others offer free or 50% but guess every little bit helps! If so sweet. ______________________ CELERBRATION HOMES The Lennox Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - We have our Pre-Start fol 73Jan 30, 2014 10:39 pm The council will usually give you 50% of the cost up to a maximum, wanneroo offers up to $360. But they have requirements it must meet to get the rebate, you have to provide them with invoices etc of work carried out. Our builder charged us about $1500 from memory but we wanted a driveway when we moved in and knew getting someone in just to finish the driveway was going to be difficult and probably costly due to the small job. Re: Aveley Build with Homebuyers - Still Waiting.... 74Feb 16, 2014 10:32 pm Not much happening for us at the moment. Just waiting for council approval from what we have been told. Here are a couple air shots of our bit of dirt along with some fellow Aveley residents. Fingers crossed our poor block on the left get some building love like our people on the right.
