Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Company called Sloping Block Solutions 7Sep 30, 2013 7:08 pm Hi Annie9072 I've just been floating around looking things up and found mention of "Sloping Block Solutions" and this forum. I wish I'd found it a year or two ago! However, in view of your concerns with a company with which I have had extensive dealings, I thought I should put my five eggs worth in! I understand the trepidation with which anyone approaches a major undertaking like knocking down your old home and building new - really scary stuff and it's hard to know who to trust. My situation was slightly different to "2-Oldmates", but the end result is the same. I've been dealing with John Kearney for over two years now on this project (I was a bit slow out of the blocks!) and he has always been available to answer those weird questions that seem to pop up in the middle of the night (don't get me wrong - I didn't ring him in the middle of the night, but chased him up first thing in the morning!). If you have a look at my user name, you'll see I'm one and the same as one of the testimonials on John's home page, and I stick by what I said there. We're almost at the end of our project now, and John still deals with any questions we have in the same patient and intelligent way he has from the very beginning. I'm not sure how this forum works, but if you want to contact me directly, you're more than welcome to do so. ColleenW Give Jonathan a call. Tell him you know me. I'd say it was done by a handyman rather than a carpenter as there would normally be the barge and a scribe and no… 3 1950 |
