I don't think I could wait for titles, I am too impatient. This is week six from PPA so wonder if contracts will come on time??!! We were lucky we got our block, previous purchaser's finance fell through unfortunately for them. Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 4Sep 03, 2012 6:24 pm Oh that is lucky. They seem to have sold out so fast. Only 10 blocks left in stage 2 and it's not even built yet! Haha I don't mind waiting for titles as have to wait for building contract anyways. They should be roughly the same time. I live just around corner so I can stalk often! Haha What lot # are you? Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 5Sep 03, 2012 6:29 pm I hope they will extend the bus service down to us, I have one going to the new High School and the other will finish her time at Safety Bay High. So I will be driving back here for two years! Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 8Sep 03, 2012 6:52 pm Ooh you'll get to have a yard Ours is House, and small strip across the back. Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 9Sep 03, 2012 7:07 pm Yeah big lot - 658m2. I think on our plans says we have 8m from house to the back. So 8x18.8m backyard. Plus 3m down one side (for our courtyard off our room) and 2m down other side. Our current land is 480m2 Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 10Sep 03, 2012 8:50 pm My retirement home (back in Tassie) is 1.8 hectare -current rental has a good yard with a pool, and building on 480m2 - will be a bit of an adjustment, but we don't want any gardening. Trying to talk DH into at least a small above ground lap pool for my exercise. Then we can dismantle it later in life.
I doubt I will ever see Tassie again but it's there if we get the chance to go back or the girls can inherit Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 11Sep 03, 2012 9:32 pm Ours is micro in comparison, we're building on a tiny 360m2 block. Your back yard will probably be bigger than our entire house. Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 12Sep 03, 2012 9:47 pm Hehe our backyard is bout 150m2 What lot are you? Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 13Sep 03, 2012 9:52 pm LeanneR Hehe our backyard is bout 150m2 They levelled out the block last week and did the plumbing ready for the slab today. So we're happy that things are finally under way. Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 14Sep 03, 2012 11:03 pm donna61 Hi There are a few newbies building at Parkland Heights, just wanted to see if you want to chat about timelines and what's happening all in one place? We are building a Summit home - based on the Monaco display home on the Honeywood estate in Wandi - on a 770sq mtr block in stage one in Pymmes Junction. Would have been happy with a smaller block but hubby insisted as wants a pool in back yard and the land was reasonably priced. We had exactly the same size block at our previous place in Corindi Beach, near Coffs Harbour, NSW, but it was not as wide. Work started on the new house in early July and roof went up last week. Summit sales consultant told us we would be in our home by Christmas. Thought this was unlikely. He's a nice guy but talks a load of bull. Turns out I was right about completion. Met the site supervisor Wayne Pitcher last week, who seems a decent guy, and he says he it will be February before we move in because of the Christmas period. Summit shuts down for 3 weeks in January. No wonder WA stands for Wait Awhile. Our last house was built to a very high standard in 26 weeks and that included flooring and paint, which is included in the quote in NSW, and a outdoor bar built from left over bricks and rendered by the builder at no extra cost. Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 16Sep 03, 2012 11:09 pm wow, how many now? about 5 of us? I think there is another Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 17Sep 03, 2012 11:19 pm Kips I would be pushing for a December handover, that will be six months and they claim they can build fast in Parkland Heights as there regular tradies just go house to house. Other builder's promise 22 weeks. Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 18Sep 03, 2012 11:20 pm Acey At last a Parkland heights thread They reckon there could be a road up to my block within a month or two. Lot #661. Welcome Acey, who are you building with? Re: WA - Parkland Heights Baldivis - swap build stories 20Sep 04, 2012 12:06 am Kips what's your lot #? We'll be living on the same street We looked to build Monaco at one stage. I reckon could be a rush to get handover before Christmas. Most builder companies close for 3-4 weeks over Dec/Jan. Eastern houses have frames they tend go up quicker as not all that brickwork. In saying that my last build took 19 weeks Looks like I'm only one not using summit group so far did you all see land prices went up $15k last week. Lucky for us! 4 14399 |
