Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 03, 2013 5:48 pm Hi All, We have recently bought a block in Brookleigh East Caversham. Is anyone building there also? We'd like to say hello to neigbour at our sister estate, Brookleigh as well Re: Brookleigh East Estate 2Jul 06, 2013 10:07 am Hi Stewart, Not building in Brookleigh East (jealous of the proximity to the wineries though), but in Brookleigh. Any ideas on when titles are due and have a builder in mind yet? Hope your build goes well Re: Brookleigh East Estate 3Jul 26, 2013 4:10 pm Hi Broc, We were told the title will be due some time in Jan 2013. Just hope it will not be delayed Is your block title before or after your purchase? We still in the process of quoting and designing but have shortlisted a few, which are New Generation, Aveling and Blueprint. Which builder did you build with? Any recommendations? Re: Brookleigh East Estate 5Jul 29, 2013 6:53 pm I would love to go with dale alcock too. I have friend just moved into their dale alcock home and the house looks great. But my budget doesn't allow me to do with them, so i have to give a pass. I am dealing with a Blueprint sales currently and they really disappoint me as they promise to give me a promo price and a few inclusions but came back with a ridiculously expensive price (50k difference) with nothing included only 31c in living. They promised to come back with layout and quote in 2 weeks but end up a month later sent me only the layout and nothing like what we discuss in the first meeting. On the other hand, Aveling and New Generation are very fast and responsive. I think i am definitely go with either one of them. Re: Brookleigh East Estate 7Aug 01, 2013 7:08 pm Hi tsmith, Yea. They are part of Dale group. My colleague has his house built by them and his review is kinda so so... According to him, service wise is not that good. A lot of hidden cost too which i suppose every builder does. I still might talk to them and see what can they offer. Where about you will be building? How was your talk the other builders that you mentioned? Re: Brookleigh East Estate 8Aug 03, 2013 2:57 am hi stewart_88 I am building in Wandi, whistling grove... won't be titled to march next year though at the moment i am talking with celebrations, ross north, blueprint, dale alcock and aveling! covering all my bases So far Blueprint has been very good, same with Ross North.... they don't have many hidden fees or anything, besides I make sure every cost is listed so there are no surprises... Dale Alcock seems good, but is more expensive than Blueprint and Ross North... I am meeting with them on Sunday to discuss a house, the "advantage series" seems to be good value, but time will tell! for me its down to cost and off course quality, celebrations are the cheapest... I am not sure which one I will go with, but I will keep you updated Re: Brookleigh East Estate 9Aug 05, 2013 1:04 pm I never knew there is an estate next to Honeywood It is a good area, close to freeway and a train station coming soon isn't it? I did look at Honeywood before I bought my block in Brookleigh East but they only release smaller block at that time. It is true that we need more study so we can cost as many things now rather than payer more at prestart later. We hope we don't end up like our friend who spend 15k during prestart. I will keep you updated with my builder selection too. I'm not sure have you read the comparison between "advantage series" and "lifestyle series" of Dale Alcock. Just be careful with the inclusion as I notice they reduce your selection and some quality to make the "advantage series". Remember to ask for the difference when you have a chat with them. Re: Brookleigh East Estate 10Aug 13, 2013 10:02 am Finally there is some activities in the estate. Retaining wall of stage 1 has went in. Can't wait to see more Re: Brookleigh East Estate 11Aug 14, 2013 1:05 pm Hi Morice, Thanks. Are you looking to buy there as well? The warning is on the sticker on the door too. Second the aluminium powdercoat 6 18204 Hi, can anyone recommend a custom home builder who can build in north east area? Looking to build a custom 4-br energy-efficient home with a max budget of 750k. If they… 0 22826 May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner?
