Very keen to see pics of the Carbon benchtops! Moving along at a good pace wfry, not much left now Re: First home, first build. Redink Homes NOR 102Nov 15, 2013 2:03 pm Wfry we got told today we will get a/c, garage grano, ceiling painted, screens and mirrors in before Xmas break. There may have been other things but that was all SS could remember. Hopefully our services cut down our driveway. Not a whole lot of work really for 4 weeks. Expecting handover early feb. Re: First home, first build. Redink Homes NOR 104Nov 15, 2013 3:29 pm I will get pics when I can of the Carbon PanRaptor. No access into the house is annoying me haha. Yeah I asked CLO and she said in the next week or two the electrical and plumbing finals will be done which I would guess means GPOs, switches, lights, HWS, solar hot water panels, taps, showers?? I hope that is the case so then I have lots to look forward to seeing happen! Shower screens and mirrors will be measured up too, and garage floor poured soonish. I don't have any dates but I would assume that will all be done prior to Christmas. Similar to you then asj, I would expect work on yours to be similar. I'm thinking early Feb too. I am getting the paving but not the A/C (unfortunately ) Redink Homes in Banksia Grove Handover 13/02/14 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65768&p=1068366#p1068366 Re: First home, first build. Redink Homes NOR 105Nov 15, 2013 4:02 pm Hmm yeah I hope we get some of that stuff done too! Soooo slow now! Haha. I shouldn't be complaining - I need all the time I can get to save money am slightly regretting our decision to pay cash for everything - the big is getting huge! Re: First home, first build. Redink Homes NOR 106Nov 15, 2013 6:45 pm Haha smarter than having a bigger mortgage though! I am the same as you, the sooner it is built the better but if not then it just gives me a little bit more time to save. List of things I want is endless. Just have to keep living on the cheaper side of life for now. Redink Homes NOR 107Nov 15, 2013 8:09 pm Yeah us too. We are living with my parents to save. Decided to get out of the house to a cheap Chinese place to try and keep our sanity. Turns out my parents have also booked a table. Haha - I just want my house now!!! Cant win! Hahaha. Re: First home, first build. Redink Homes NOR 108Nov 21, 2013 3:11 pm Living at home is so tiring when you know you have house of your own being built and you're just waiting and waiting for it to be done.. Will make me appreciate my house so much more when I move in though! Went and checked to see what work had been done on Tuesday arvo and nothing had been done. Will check again tonight, hopefully the tiler had grouted because that hadn't been done yet. It's a slowww week. Redink Homes NOR 110Nov 22, 2013 4:52 am Oh your build is going well all looks good. Lucky you. Nice to see the pic of the Formica Ironstone OH picked that for our laundry and the bathroom. Hope that it is not too much in laundry as it is on underneath cabinets as well as bench tops. I got to pick ensuite and kitchen colours but due to health reason was very tired so left the bathroom and laundry to my husband. I agreed to colours of course, but did not give it much thought except knew that wanted the colours in the bathroom laundry and toilet to be the same as close to each other . OH is usually very good in colours ( his grandfather was a well respected European artist so in the genes)it is just the fine tuning. The lady at the tile place told us males have less cones and rods than females and therefore can not see the finer shades in colours. There was a lovely essastone colour that would have gone nicely in kitchen with the benches and either the tiled or bamboo flooring but, no way could he see the melding of the colours when put together. So not brave enough so stuck to good old bone white instead. Happy with my choice though waiting to see your photos of the essa stone carbon as we have it in both bathroom and ensuite. It must be so exciting and hopefully not to nerve wracking to see your choice of colours come to life. They still need to paint the vent in the laundry because that was put in afterwards. Quote: Nice to see the pic of the Formica Ironstone OH picked that for our laundry and the bathroom. Hope that it is not too much in laundry as it is on underneath cabinets as well as bench tops. I was worried about the Ironstone too to be honest jibs and was sceptical after choosing it but once I saw it for real I was very happy with it. I am sure your laundry will look great Colour selection is hard and I walked into pre-start and the tiles shop with no predetermined idea of what colours I wanted so went with different choices for each room so I will at least end up with one room I am happy with (hopefully!!). I agree and do think us boys are more clueless with colours Only me to do the choosing though so had to be done. And I hope to get photos of the carbon bench top when I get the chance.
