Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 102Dec 16, 2013 10:53 am kedar_u Spatel Guys, we had our colour appointment yesterday. It went well. More details on my blog. HI Spatel we also had our colors appointment recently, we choose the same bricks as yours, we are doing monaco Q1, the facade is regent, and kept the same as one in Cragiburne i have question about the ceasar stone, - we have gone for 70mm island style, someone told me that they compressed two or three 20mm stone and make 70mm stone, i know that does not sound correct, can anyone please clarify? also question regarding water pressure, in our current unit, when we open one tap, the other open tap goes down with pressure, will that be same situation or you can put some thing to mitigate that? thanks in advance kedar Kedar, 70 mm will be only on edges not entire bench. This will make bench look more thicker but actually it's only 20 mm Water pressure should be ok in newly built houses, I guess..but confirm it with henley if you are not sure.. Let us know as well.. Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 103Dec 18, 2013 12:31 pm Rangi83 Well now that I know Henley read this and they are not happy with stuff I have written on here I would like you all to know I have amended some things as they seem to think I have not told the truth. I have amended a comment even though that is how is happened in my day and I did correct it in another post when I found out that they just didn't read a full email (two posts ago) Let’s hope our house will last now. So this is a post for the Henley staff. Sorry if I upset you but i just posted on how it rolled out with us and what we were told. I understand your busy buts it is our homes your building. Something that we have saved forever to build and we just want to feel like you care. they should not stop you from discussing concerns you have, so please dont stop and they can not stop you Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 104Dec 18, 2013 4:52 pm little disappointing how Henley dealt with the situation. Thought a company this size would have a more conservative approach to make all customers happy. but hopefully they continue with their professional standard till completion of your house. Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 105Jan 07, 2014 10:23 am Has anyone used Waterstone finance through Henley ? I am looking into it and need your views if any ? Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 106Feb 18, 2014 12:37 pm Spatel Has anyone used Waterstone finance through Henley ? I am looking into it and need your views if any ? HI Spatel we have done through them, and we were quite happy with service, We were dealing with Tiffany, and she is nice and professional Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 108May 18, 2014 1:00 am Hi Spatel , we also dealt with( waterstone) Michael from head office in Melbourne and he has been fantastic. our loan was approved with no issues and he was very helpful with all the paperwork, just waiting for land tiltles now. - Build thread- My Allegra- Dream by Henley Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 109May 18, 2014 2:41 am Hi, I am just wondering if any of you noticed the house you built have warped concrete floor? The house I am building currently (its a Sahara Q1 also!) the foundation is just poured and when I visit the site it looked kind of "warped", some area are higher than other area (is it suppose to be perfectly flat?), its noticeble and since I am building a two story house I am kind of spooked by the uneveness of the whole slab. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this? "Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is almost always somebody screwed up." Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 110May 18, 2014 4:49 am thats concerning Dr House, I would be worried if it were me. can't you take it up with ss and make sure they have an explanation. my home has not been started yet but I will look out for issues like this - Build thread- My Allegra- Dream by Henley Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 111May 18, 2014 9:53 am Dr House Hi, I am just wondering if any of you noticed the house you built have warped concrete floor? The house I am building currently (its a Sahara Q1 also!) the foundation is just poured and when I visit the site it looked kind of "warped", some area are higher than other area (is it suppose to be perfectly flat?), its noticeble and since I am building a two story house I am kind of spooked by the uneveness of the whole slab. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this? I think you should be concerned. Talk to your site supervisor and if no luck, then hire independent inspector. It's not a problem of double story or single story but problematic when you do flooring. Good luck.. Re: Our first Home :) the Sahara Q1 113May 19, 2014 8:29 am evec has anyone hired a private inspector? if so can you give me a price range I am seriosly considering once we start building. thanx Hi evec, The price ranges from $400-800 and also depends if its a single or double and how big the house is. Mine is $535 each stage for a DS. So far he has picked up a few things regarding the windows not being straight and laundry wall not straight so definitely worth spending that extra money. There are a few things we noticed yesterday that we want to ask the SS, but thinking of waiting till i ask my inspector if its much of an issue first.
