Hi All,

Have you been using My Virtual Home and have a home you want to show off, that you've spent a lot of time on?

Tell us your HomeShare code so we can all admire it!

To get the ball rolling, mine is R37U-JYCM. It has been designed for my block of land and is very much my dream home. I'm still experimenting with the colours, but I still like it

To access a HomeShare home, click on Load, then enter the code in the box in the top right.

To save a home to HomeShare, save it to one of the 5 boxes on the right hand side of the Save screen - the code is the series of letters/numbers in the white box on each home.

Wowee, that's one impressive house!!

I'll show you mine in a sec, it will fit inside your front room

Just some things I noticed as I was looking around:

- The front room is great but I wondered about a fireplace with such a high ceiling, the room wouldn't stay warm?
- The kitchen is fantastic!
- The back room, WOW!
- Love how the "kids" rooms are upstairs with a rumpus for them upstairs too
- For such a huge house maybe you need a triple garage?
- Do you have kids? How old? All those railings scare the bejeezus out of me. My kids are only 1 and 3 though. The railigns look fantastic though!
- Where will guests sleep and which bathroom will they use?

All in all, wow wow wow! My little house is cowering in shame!!

Lastly.. I would continue the hard flooring all the way to the back downstairs.

Thanks for all the compliments

But sorry to say - this is very much a dream house. The one we eventually build will almost likely only be a single storey, and nowhere near as big - it was more to get ideas of likes and dislikes and colours.

We don't have kids yet but after we get back from Canada we are planning to and this is definitely swinging the decision towards a single storey (that and the wife doesn't like the though of walking up and down stairs all day

)

You can get fireplaces that are good enough to heat that entire front room, so that's no problems, also I just realised that there is no powder room downstairs so will need to fix that, and I would put guests in the top bedroom closest to the front - so they would use the upstairs bathroom - but I may think shrinking the middle bedroom and putting an ensuite in.

Hi Muzzman,

Just had a look at your 'dream' home.

Looks great - Love the window configuration that spans over two floors, this would make any 2 story house feel spacious.

You need a bigger WIR :wink:

Wish I could work that darn program!!! :evil:

Thought I'd share mine.... The code is 9WXD-JYFU

Needs alot of fine tuning as I did it all ages ago & haven't had a look at it for a while. We have since moved in in the last month so maybe compare it to the pics on our blog & see how close it comes

Now I've got the latest version, I'll have a play with the landscaping as that's next on the list.

I have been trying to figure out for ages how to get that raised-back-bit-at-the-sink look in the kitchen and it seems so obvious now

Thanks Muzzman. That's the main reason we chose the house. Perfect size & living areas... Looked at sooo many plans & the Carlisle Bordeaux was exactly what we were after.

Here are my contributions:

The first design was for a single story on a block that we found in Lysterfield (1000sqm) that we liked.

The block turned out to be sold!

The next one is a house that we put an offer in on in Lysterfield also. It turned out that the property could not have a driveway put in (angles etc) and that the owners told a few porky pies (******) about this.

We didn't end up buying it obviously

This last one was a design that we did for a block in a new development in Lysterfield. The land had 8 metres of fall left to right :shock:

After the quote just for footings and retaining walls we decided to leave this design (and block) alone.

Just an FYI to those who use MVH. There is a brand new forum website for MVH, http://www.mvh-forums.com. The devs have said in chat that they will be responding to questions posted there. It's also a good place to go to share homeshare codes, tips, ideas, etc.
