Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 20, 2013 9:51 pm We have 2 down pipes with 90* degree angled elbows on them. We also have a colorbond roof. At 3 am there is a constant drip, drip, drip which is driving is bonkers. It's obvious something to do with heat cold condensation etc BUT we are wanting to know from any experts out there if there is a solution? When it's raining its ok as the rain drowns out the drip but as soon as it eases the drip is VERY noticeable to the point where the neighbour has even complained!! I will bring it up at maintenance time but want to know my options so that we don't get fobbed off.. Re: HELP!!!!! ROOF PLUMBING/down-pipe issues 2Jun 21, 2013 8:08 pm Hard to say without being on site. Have you tried to hear the drip's location? One issue I have often found is when the elbow's horizontal (bottom) section has an extension that prevents the water adhering to the adjoining vertical wall. This causes the water to fall rather than flow down the inner wall (as well as being a prime cause of blockages). You need to find the location of the noise to determine what is causing the water to fall rather than adhere. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using syphonic drainage.
