Now I have to slip in the caveat that A) I do not have a nice camera B) Even if I did I don't know how to take fancy photos C) A lot of these pics are overexposed Without further ado, I am proud to present my 94% completed house. Living area (curtains and rug are new) Finally got around to hanging that photo frame (it lived on the console table for 6 months) Knick Knacks (and the beginnings of a seating plan ) More knick knacks, including Kmart lightbox I 'won' (read stole) during a game of Bad Santa at a Christmas in July (in August) party. We're hopefully getting some blue abstract canvas artwork for the wedding and that's where it will go! Spare rooms Fiancé's room of man things The spare. I had to include this photo because it made me laugh so much. A few of the groomsmen came over on Friday night to have drinks and play xbox. When I went around the house to take photos yesterday, this is how I found the bed. How's the pillow arrangement? It usually looks like this Master bedroom and entry I love my mirror so much! I bought it from a shop called Scurrs in Mt Lawley. They are closing down, so everything is on sale. This was $720 and I bought it for $265. I recommend them highly if you want a fancy mirror or art deco furniture. Excuse the dress, I wore it to a ball last night. I was trying to figure out how to style it because I am a terrible adult and don't know how to dress myself. New curtains, pelmets and adairs king size quilt cover set. I decided to buy a king size cover to go on the queen bed so I could make my bed look like a display haha. It needs some injection of colour. Maybe bright teal cushions or a throw. We need something above the bed on the wall too. It's a work in progress. Garage It may not be pretty, but it sure is practical to wall mount the bikes. Wall mount all the things! Well this is ugly. Sometimes it looks neater, but usually not. It's a garage. Care factor is 0. Outside Walled in! So glad I decided on wood look slats instead of colorbond monument. If you look at the paving, you can see the delightful mess the bricklayer made, which was then added to by the renderer. Why do tradesmen cause three problems when they fix one? ffs LONG LIVE THE RANGA DOOR! Insanity peaking a whole new level - trying to grow grass for the wedding. $12 grass seeds from bunnings and some rain have resulted in this uneven thing. Waiting for it to be less patchy so we can mow it. From far away and at the right angle, there is the illusion of nice lawn. There used to be plants here. Now there are just weeds and holes. We used to have a majestic plant here. Fiancé and I planted it on our 6 year anniversary. I think it was a dracaena, about 1m tall. It had two trunks which couldn't be split since the roots were all tangled. So we planted them joined together. On our anniversary. It was symbolic. Then they took it. The stole my anniversary plant. STOLE IT. Who does that??!!!! Now we've replaced it with that sh1tty little thing that was $8.95 from ikea. It's pathetic. Anyway... From the inside. Nice little play pen for my nephew or a dog. The survivors. I don't know where to put them, but here they are safe within the locked area. Yes, the cordylines were this big when they were stolen. Sadness. So that's it. I have new roller shutters too, but I didn't think it was worth photographing. They look like shutters. I hope that satisfies the photo hunger! Have a great day everyone P|R Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Pg. 68 1352Aug 30, 2015 12:41 pm Looks amazing pan!!!! Are you gonna post your wedding pictures here too? Love it! Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Pg. 68 1354Aug 31, 2015 3:24 am looks great PR, love the sheer curtains (would love some of them). I despair about having to deal with lowlife scumbags that go around stealing plants and other dastardly acts. we shouldnt have to live with things like that. Missed your humour over the last couple of months. had a giggle about the pillows in the spare room. Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Pg. 68 1355Aug 31, 2015 11:48 am Wow no kidding they really stole all your plants! What losers. House is looking lovely and the sheers completely changed your whole space! I can't wait to get mine up now Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Pg. 68 1356Aug 31, 2015 3:39 pm House looks awesome pan. Still can't believe someone would steal plants, what an a$$hole. Love the shelf and mirror idea. Can't find the right table for our entry so might steal your idea you've done a really lovely job with your home inside and out. How did 6 months maintenance go? Sorry if you already discussed this. Kind of think maybe you're postponing it... Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Pg. 68 1357Sep 05, 2015 6:14 pm Hi Pan your house looks gorgeous and I love your bedroom linen and pelmets - it looks very chic! Seeing your kitchen again made me realise how similar ours are to yours - and we have the French Black too! I'm on the look for a silvery sparkly/metally splashback and I remember you also looked at some - if you have any ideas of what goes nicely with the french black I'm all ears!!! Would be interested to know which of the silvery colours you'd have chosen if you decided not to go with blue I can't believe the twerps stole your plants - that is just terrible But plants or not your garden and fence looks beautiful and your paving laid diagonally too. We've recently purchased a cctv system which we're testing - if it works well we're going to take it along to Aus to install. Nothing fancy, but should be able to tell you whether someone is lurking outside! Love the pillow arrangement - surely some interior designer somewhere could do with talent like that? Looking forward to see some wedding pics - have an absolutely smashing day Re: PR's Finished Build - Big Photo Update Pg. 68 1359Sep 07, 2015 10:58 pm IssyandOzzy Looks amazing pan!!!! Next step now will be safeguarding the replacements. archetto Wow no kidding they really stole all your plants! What losers. Kind of think maybe you're postponing it... Yes, I am postponing 6 months maintenance. I got as far as making a list, but with the wedding approaching and work being crazy busy, I just couldn't find time to get it sorted. I didn't want the added complication of having tradesmen in the house again. I really don't like it. I feel like I'm still recovering from finishing the house. I'll look into maintenance after my honeymoon, so next month sometime. We don't have any huge issues, mostly settling cracks etc. Nothing that requires urgent attention, so I was happy to wait.
