I love your internal glass door - it looks fantastic! I have the same one on my pantry and my games room, but with frosted glass and I opted to have the frames painted, although I am regretting that decision... I am thinking I should have left them to be stained. Because everyones that I have seen that are stained look so great! Thank you According to my addenda, the glass door was meant to be painted. But after I saw it hanging there, I knew that the wood would look so much nicer. I sent an email to RI to ask for this to be changed. Admin wanted me to pay a variation which probably exceeded the value of the door. I said no way! To my surprise, my SS spoke to the painters direct and got them to stain rather than paint the door. It's one of his triumphs I think. Moral of the story is ask and you shall receive! I always go through our SS for stuff otherwise the office requires paperwork for protocol. Glad he changed it for you extra points there Re: PR's Redink Build - Finishing Touches + Photos Pg. 49 988Oct 13, 2014 5:12 pm Will85 How big is your ensuite shower?? looks like a nice size! archetto Looking great! Will your now fiance move in with you straight away or will you enjoy it to yourself first Re: PR's Redink Build - Finishing Touches + Photos Pg. 49 989Oct 13, 2014 5:15 pm I wish I had varnished my two sets of french doors .but I had nothing else stained .painter said they are horrible to paint .he did like 4 or 5 coats . If I had the money I would of stained all my doors . I think they are more hard wearing than oil based paints differntly when ya have kids . .we just got our walls sealed by the painter .he charged $2000 . But noticed tge other day he forgot to seal wir opps .but thank god he is a top bloke coz he came back the next day I contacted him and said when your ready give me a call and ill come do it . I tried to get him to finish painting my house for free , but no go .he he Re: PR's Redink Build - Finishing Touches + Photos Pg. 49 990Oct 14, 2014 12:38 am Geez Pan! Re: PR's Redink Build - PCI Thurs October 24th + Photos Pg. 991Oct 15, 2014 11:17 am Quick update for you all, but no pics for now. Fly Screens, door handles and towel holders and rails have all been installed. Light switch in the ensuite has been relocated as best they could and the sink is on it's way to being fixed. SS called yesterday to advise he left the house open for me to walk through. The RI maintenance guys will be there today to start addressing PCI issues, even before PCI. Should help for a quick handover! I have a baby list! Look at it, it's so small! - Paint (roof vents and flashing, ensuite ceiling, stain front door) - Ensuite taps - Portico Paving - Fixes (texture coat, light switch, settling cracks) - Final site scrape and clean - Final Clean and Red Bow Placement 8 days to PCI! woohoo!! If they cause problems every time they coming to fix something, this house is going to take a long time to finish! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The ground around the meter is now wet, so it's leaking. Fabulous. I will email RI and let them know, but I get the feeling Dad will fix the leak before they get a chance to address it. The Termico man was out there this morning spraying the house. I totally forgot about pest control. I'm going to be real good at home ownership...
