Look forward to seeing your plans Re: Building with Aussie Living - Prestart completed 3Jun 15, 2013 4:21 pm How have you found the whole process? We've had our ups and downs but pretty happy overall though MIT need to ask me again in 3 months when we get our keys! Re: Building with Aussie Living - Prestart completed 4Jun 15, 2013 9:15 pm It has been great so far! Our sales guy has been helpful and finance man was amazing, everyone had answers so fast (and I asked a few questions being our first home) lol I feel for them!! We are building a mix between The Optima & The Sovereign with a few added details We extended our living area, enclosed theater with doors, added a garage door, double door entrance as we had to take out the study to fit on our block and added extra shelving in the pantry and walk in robe, we also make the robe doors sliding in minor bedrooms, but everything else the same we loved the original plan so didnt feel the need to change much Our prestart lady was wonderful and helpful with some *hints* on what was free to upgrade!! lol I've got a photo of our plan below! hopefully its not too small... currently waiting on titles which we've been told should be in in August so heres hoping!! hehe very exciting times ahead!! Free upgrade? Pre start was actually our least favorite we had to constantly ask if upgrades were available! Re: Building with Aussie Living - Prestart completed 7Jun 15, 2013 10:53 pm jcbissor - wow it is very similar! Double doors are great! Good luck with your build fmac - thanks! we are very excited to see it come to life haha i'm over the paperwork side of things lol with the upgrades - we didn't like the standard door handles and the lady mentioned it was the same price for a much better looking handle which was great, and then just cheaper ($8) upgrades that are much more attractive than the standard builders range which was helpful - our prestart took roughly 2.5 hours.. not sure if that is quick as the lady said it normally is 5 hours? Re: Building with Aussie Living - Prestart completed 8Jun 17, 2013 11:56 pm We were told 3-5 but as we walked in we're told we had to be done by lunch as she had another appointment, so we kind of started on a bad foot.... Pretty happy with what we ended up with I just found it frustrating we always had to ask what was available! Have you signed all the prestart changes and final plans? Do you have an idea of when they will start? It is really exciting slowly seeing it come together as they start to build Re: Building with Aussie Living - Prestart completed 9Jun 18, 2013 12:55 am Hello, we have our prestart with Aussie living next week.
