I'm a first time poster so please excuse me if I have posted in the wrong section and/or topic.
We have built a new house with Masterton and we have just received our keys last week. At the moment we are trying to finish up the driverway/landscapping/electrical/gas etc so that the house is ready to move in.
I was wondering, whose responsibility it is to have the electrcitiy meter installed? We could not find one on our house, even though we had paid King & Lewis to connect something? What did they exactly connect if not the meter? So confused!
Any light shed would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome!
Don't quote me on this but as far as I understand, it is the builders responsibility to have the house fitted with the cabling and external meter box and it is up to the owner to have it all connected with their chosen provider.
Personally with our build, the meter was installed once the brick work and cabling was done so that they could use the power for their tools and obviously to ensure that all lights work.

Thank you kaykens
I have just called King and Lewis and they were supposed to have it installed for us in April however it was missed apparently even though we paid for it all with them and Masterton
They will send out someone as soon as they can to install it so that we can have our electricity connected.
