Browse Forums Building A New House Re: National Homes 2Aug 31, 2013 12:14 am We are just about to start the building process with National. Hoping it all goes smoothly!! We have looked around for a while now and their Viceroy design is exactly what we were looking for. Whichever way you go, I wish you luck Re: National Homes 3Sep 01, 2013 9:38 am They are terrible. The sales representative did not write down some of the things we told him and worst he forgot a lot of things that we had discussed and agreed on in the meeting. We end up had to pay as variations. The Prestart person took a week or more to answer my email despite the fact that I sent numerous emails. They kept changing staffs that no one knows what happened to your changes. Their tilers could not even lay mosaic tiles straight. Some edges were sticking up and some were sinking. The building supervisor still thinks that his tiler has done a good job and said it is difficult to lay mosaic tiles. They submitted the wrong house plan to the council after they have modified the house elevation as I requested and confirmed with the sales representative I confirmed that we would like the new modified elevation. They took 2 years to build. worst they never said sorry for the wrong things that they did and the building administrators are not polite. Terrible and I will never ever build with National not even it is cheaper. Re: National Homes 4Feb 16, 2014 11:16 pm Farfox We are just about to start the building process with National. Apart from a few minor details (mostly the decorating side) there was nothing I didn't love about it. Gorgeous house. Saving and loading up on info at this stage... Re: National Homes 6Mar 20, 2014 10:43 pm We are building with National Homes (or at least we are attempting to build with them). So far our experience has not been good. Customer service is shocking!Unable to get the email or phone number of any senior managers there. Pre-start meeting was a shambles. hardly any items on display to choose from. We are seriously thinking about pulling out. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74709 I would never build with Fowler homes.
