We started Dec 20 with the slab and are told we will be in 3rd week of July approx. Hi zojo How is your Sheridan 35 going. We just put down 1,000 for the price lock and we have had an initial estimation cost with the sapphire package. So far has been a great experience and my wife has had great contact with the sales consultant. Next is the site plan and then the tender. Is the tender price is similar to the initial estimation for the home which they give you? I understand we may change things but all in all is it similar? Would love some feedback . Thank you. Hope you enjoy your home zojo Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 7Dec 18, 2013 6:28 am Hi Kath and Zojo, we too are about to start building with Clarendon. How has the process been for both of you so far? We are also building a Sheridan 35 so would appreciate any info you can give on your experience to date. Thanks. Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 8Dec 21, 2013 9:35 pm Tetam Hi Kath and Zojo, we too are about to start building with Clarendon. How has the process been for both of you so far? We are also building a Sheridan 35 so would appreciate any info you can give on your experience to date. Thanks. Hi there, things are going very slowly for us. Our slab was poured 4th November and nothing has happened on site since due to an error in levels for the water tank and the tender team saying no to a few things and the construction team saying why wasn't this done? So we have been caught in the middle. Our frame is due to arrive on 14th and I will hold them to this. They are saying that our move in date could be anywhere from April to July. Rain is reason! http://www.ourfamilybuild.wordpress.com Land cleared 12.10.13 Slab 4.11.13 Frame 14.1.14 Brickwork 11.2.14 Roof Tiles 20.3.14 Electrical 9.5.14 Plasterer 17.5.14 Tiler 8.6 Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 10Dec 28, 2013 9:07 am Hi Grap, We are building a Sheridan 37 (it was a 34 but we added a rumpus and lengthened the laundry), and got Council approval just before Christmas. We took a while between tender and contract as we kept modifying the plans so as to avoid as many post-contract variations as possible. For example, the laundry, and widening the garage. We also wanted to remove the cladding from upstairs, so we had to have a steel beam inserted below the upstairs right hand external wall to carry the load. I've heard there is Sheridan display home being built in the Ponds. Is that the one you are referring to, and if so, do you know when it will be opened? Good luck with the build. Looking forward to going through this journey with others who are at roughly the same stage. Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 11Jan 02, 2014 10:02 pm Hi Kath, sorry to hear about the delays with your build. Hope it picks up soon. Are they due to put the frame up on the 14th of this month? Hi Grap & FranticFive, we drove past the Sheridan display at the Ponds just before Christmas and it looked completed but it wasn't opened. We will be going again next week to see if it's open. Will let you know what we find. We're really keen to see it before we go to our official tender presentation. Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 12Jan 03, 2014 11:25 pm Thanks Tetam! That would be great. While we made our decision on the plans alone, it would be fantastic to actually see one "in the flesh". Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 15Jan 05, 2014 12:57 am @FranticFive & @Tetam - according to Clarendon's website, the Sheridan 34 (and the Ferndale 31) display home at The Ponds is opening on Monday, 6th January Built Wentworth 33 with Clarendon Homes Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 17Jan 06, 2014 11:08 am Hi everyone, When I contacted the Clarendon sales consultant, he said it might take another 2 weeks before the Sheridan display home is officially open to the public.I am considering either the Chisholm or the Oxford Facade , but it is being displayed with an Axis facade which is not an option as per their website. Re: Who else is building with Clarendon Homes? 18Jan 06, 2014 5:16 pm Grap Hi everyone, When I contacted the Clarendon sales consultant, he said it might take another 2 weeks before the Sheridan display home is officially open to the public.I am considering either the Chisholm or the Oxford Facade , but it is being displayed with an Axis facade which is not an option as per their website. Welcome Grap! It's open to the public today - I dropped in earlier this afternoon to have a look. Perhaps they're having an opening celebration in 2 weeks time? I didn't take any photos but the main changes to the default plans are: - added a shower to the powder room - converted downstairs study to a bedroom - added cavity sliding door to powder room so there is direct access from the bedroom - configured bed 5 upstairs to be a study instead If you have the time, drop in to have a look. But I understand your comment about the facade - very peculiar the display has the Axis facade when this is not currently being offered. Another odd thing is the Sheridan 34 costs slightly more than the Sheridan 35, according to their pricelist (effective 23 December, 2013). [Edit - 12/01/2014] Correction: Axis Facade is now being offered for Sheridan 34, 35 & 38 - as per their facade price list, effective 23 December, 2013 - for $12,300. The roof, brick, garage door, window frame, front wall (2 colours) and the board around the windows (sorry not sure what it calls). Many thanks!! A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
