Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 05, 2013 8:34 pm we purchased a property in bayside we looked at a lot of volume builders and found fairhaven had great looking homes which suited our requirements not to say the others didnt but when we saw the portland 404 we were very impressed the sales staff in all the fairhaven homes were accommodating with all our questions and requests even to the point of ringing the office and talking to the the owner rodney who was more than happy to discuss our requirements i also met with salesman and the sales manager soon after and rodney sat in for a while and made a decision on the spot that they were willing to change the plans around to fit into the bayside planning scheme requirements one thing about fairhaven is they are happy to give you the price of the display home as it is no hiding costs it is very frustrating talking to the big companies they just dont want to give you the price of their display homes and be careful as when you take out all the extras it ends up being a very different home so concept drawings were drawn and approved by all so now we have a bayside compliant home ready to go as you can see they are willing to change around things to suit you and very happy to help we have a start date which is 7/6/2013 so two days to go. our office coordinator is very efficient and has been obliging in all circumstances and i also read on a previous review that they refused to do flush mortar on face bricks i also wanted flush mortar but after talking with the owner on our last meeting with our final contract to be signed he explained his reasons we conceded as his back ground is brick laying he also relented on black mortar so give a little each way up to date all is well so fingers crossed still waiting on building supervisor this is our 4th new homebuild Re: fairhaven homes 2Jun 06, 2013 5:12 am congrats and welcome looking forward to seeing lots of pics as your house progresses Re: fairhaven homes 3Jun 12, 2013 8:54 am Hey Roadliner welcome to the forum!
