Browse Forums Building A New House Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 61Jul 09, 2013 9:02 pm Yeah just contacted SS. He is on leave for another week so I'm guessing that's why they have slackend off. (I felt so bad as I didn't even know he was on holidays!) Oh well he said apparently they will be finishing the bricking on Saturday so here's hoping!! One thing I am impressed with is the fact that although he is on holidays he still found out info for me. Don't get that with most!!! But yes very interesting to know the same is happening like your cousins place. At least I know what to expect now!! Yes check out the franklin! On the website they have a video of it!!! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 62Jul 18, 2013 10:51 pm well my brickies have come and gone now in 10 days, hopefully yours finished last week? Ours finished majority Sunday just gone. Just have to come back when the scaffolding comes down to do the lower level window sills. Now waiting on some cladding and our garage roof to go on before the outside is done. There is no way we will be in end of August like they originally said!!! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 64Jul 19, 2013 9:59 am Thats really disappointing Cakey! I hope your SS kicks everyone up the but in the coming weeks. You are coping quite well, or so it appears. I'd be ripping shreds of my builder! Sending plenty of positive thought your way, hoping they will smash then next few weeks out for you! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 65Jul 27, 2013 7:54 pm any action on the inside yet cakey? Not much. They worked on friday putting eaves in (we only have a tiny bit around the front of the house the rest has no eaves) and they attached the downpipes while the scaffolding is still up. I'm lead to believe that the cladding was also meant to go up but not as yet so hopefully that will happen this week (When it actually gets delivered!!) Looking forward to seeing a few more services start inside. Still need the electrical, gas, ducted vac and the aircon to be done before gyprock. I'll have to hop over to your thread and check out your place! It's zooming along! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 67Jul 29, 2013 4:52 pm We have Cladding going up!! YAY!!! Electrician coming this week too!! Things are finally picking back up! SS says we should be getting gyprock within a few weeks. Other than that not a whole lot has happened. The electricians still haven't been yet so I'm hoping they arrive this coming week as no gyprock can go in without it!! At least the outside is finally starting to look like a house now and I am really happy with the colours so far. Will post a piccy shortly!
P.S Thanks to the person who stole all of the bricks from our site. We don't have window ledges downstairs yet!!! GRRRR More waiting now!! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 72Aug 11, 2013 12:14 am the cakey P.S Thanks to the person who stole all of the bricks from our site. We don't have window ledges downstairs yet!!! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 73Aug 11, 2013 12:24 am Oh and it kind of worked for me so...... Sending the building gods a message for you this week. Lol. Fingers crossed. Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 74Aug 12, 2013 8:53 am If it's the guy I think it is that took your bricks, Jess questioned him about taking bricks from around your house's and he said he has the supervisor's permission... so we just assumed all was good.....He was dressed in workwear and all.... So sorry to hear you will now have to wait a little longer for your bricking to be done. Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 75Aug 12, 2013 10:07 am It's all good guys. They are very cunning aren't they!!! They know the tricks!! It will get done in time, just frustrating that some low life thinks they have the right to something free!!! If I catch anyone there I'll give them what for with the next load!!! Let me know what sort of car so I can keep an eye out!! Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 76Aug 12, 2013 10:40 am It was a white ute, maybe with a canopy (a lot of help that is hey) coz' he was loading the bricks into a dark coloured trailer. He has a number 1 or 2 hair cut (he was wearing a cap) was rather tall and work dark blue overalls or shirt and pants..... Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 77Aug 12, 2013 11:25 am Yeah he was wearing tradie stuff when I saw him too. Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 78Aug 12, 2013 8:46 pm Thankyou. I will be keeping an eye out now!! So if you see anyone taking bricks from our site say you are the site supervisor and no you didnt give permission!! lol Thanks Amancharmar for the building gods. We had 2 trades at our place today!! Yipee. The aircon guy was there finishing the ducting and we had the ducted vac guy running pipes through the house too! Stressing a little about the aircon duct placement though might have to chat with the ss. It's because of having to run stuff through the floor of the top story that is causing the problem but as it is now they are putting 2 ducts in the kitchen only 1.5m apart???? Not sure I am keen on that. Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 79Aug 13, 2013 1:04 am Haha not sure if I can pull off the SS role! I think our leftover bricks may have gone for a walk down the street. Yes 1.5m apart isn't a great distance. Hmmmmm Re: building modified glendale in Seaford Meadows 80Aug 21, 2013 10:00 am How is everything going Cakey? Bricks are finished I presume? Everything should be getting very exciting now. I’m curious about how you went with this. We are planning a KDRB and considering Plantation Homes as a builder. I’m aware that after the demolition another soil test… 1 6321 i wouldn't be worried, you'll definitely miss something, no matter how many times you review. we've spent close to 5 months ensuring everything got reflected in the… 5 9439 Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess. Trying to get some more information from our builder. 9 11715 |
