YES YES YES!! Oh Forg, I truly feel for you lol. I've never had a dishwasher, and neither have my parents, it's going to be BLISS!! Fiiiiinally. I guess now the fights will begin over who loads and unloads it haha. Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 23Jun 03, 2013 11:11 am Just whatever we do to the house, will be for OUR benefit. Not the landlords. My husband loves planting trees and plants, but planting them in someone elses garden doesnt bring that satisfaction of seeing them grow... Plus maintaining a garden that isnt your own in a giant pain! I just want to be able to paint a wall if I want to, or change a light fitting. Not live with someone elses choices. But most of all, know that when that lump of money gets deducted from our bank account each fortnight, that it's going towards paying off our home... not someone elses. Ahhhh, that's much easier to stomach. I used to have our family pooch come over and stay which made up for not being allowed to have a dog but we had to say goodbye to him last year I can't wait to get myself another doggy to love. Am also looking forward to decorating my kids bedrooms for them and my own space again (currently living with my parents during the build and I love them BUT.. they drive me nuts lol). Having a dishwasher that actually fits plates in it 3. Paying our mortgage and not someone elses 4. A lot more space 5. Having a backyard 6. Having a view instead of fences and rooftops 7. Getting a puppy 8. Being able to hang our wedding photos 9. Having our own garden and not just improving someone elses Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 30Jun 04, 2013 9:28 am I think unpacking in general, although I don't like moving it will be so exciting to unpack everything that has been in storage for almost 2 years!! I can't remember what I have!! (including 50% of my clothes that got packed away) and to have a pantry where you can SEE what you have - I'm abit of an organizer so all that sorting and organizing when we move is something I'm looking forward to Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 32Jun 04, 2013 11:05 am Not having to deal with my builder any more. Oh, the party I'll be having when I say goodbye to them for the final time and get to spend my spare moments doing something other than co-ordinating a construction project. Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 33Jun 04, 2013 6:39 pm Hopefully not having to deal with building insurance again, getting the house finally finished after no building for the last 8 months and actually being able to live in the house that has had 90% of the loan drawn down and paying interest on the mortgage of a house that is not finished and paying board to the folks as well. With two teen daughters our Bathroom Benches are a mess. Seriously don''t understand big Mirror's with no storage behind them. Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 35Jun 05, 2013 1:31 pm Actually I've got a big one to add to mine... Moving away from our neighbours. Not the people directly behind/beside us but someone around here owns a VERY loud motorbike and they insist on revving the living sh!t out of it when they exit the roundabout outside our house. All hours of the day and night Not to mention the hoons that screech around the roundabout on their way to the local footy oval & cricket pitch for training/games. I really hate living next to this roundabout Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 36Jun 05, 2013 1:51 pm Having a nice big kitchen More space! Re: What are you looking forward to the most? 39Jul 10, 2013 4:37 pm Not living with my parent's and sister's. Not sharing a bathroom with my sister's. For my fiance to be able to have clothes storage space that is more than 2 drawers and under the bed! Being able to make my bedroom a bedroom and not a bedroom/study/living room/storage room. Being able to start our lives Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 5727 The worst thing you can do is sign a building contract without a pre contract review.
