Re: Building our dream home Aspiration 29 with Wisdom Homes 14Dec 01, 2012 9:40 am I know, we practically lived at the display home at one stage. Handy having it so close to our build as well The 35 only just fit on our block, had about 9cm to spare ! We made a few changes - added in a shower downstairs, a bath in the ensuite, swapped the dining and living rooms and extended the back of the house a little bit. How about you ? Love your colours by the way Similar themes to ours in the kitchen and bathrooms, only we have gone for darker wood laminates and we are having the poly cupboards at the top in the kitchen. Re: Building our dream home Aspiration 29 with Wisdom Homes 15Dec 01, 2012 8:54 pm Had a look at your house colours...they look great together. Had a bit of a chuckle at the names......"deer skin, tinkerboy"....I wonder sometime how they decide on these names. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! We originally were going to have poly on the top too and the oyster linea at the bottom but it wasnt going to mix with the colour of the tile we chose so we swapped it. We too added a shower downstairs, extended the house, swapped the kitchen with dining so kitchen is now a U shape in the back and changed the layout upstairs by moving the master to the back as the street in front of our house is quite busy in the mornings Come to think of it, quite a few changes we made::lol:: When is your house expected to be completed? Had a bit of a chuckle at the names......"deer skin, tinkerboy"....I wonder sometime how they decide on these names. I know we laughed too when those colours were suggested to us during colour selection. It probably is a marketing thing to make the names stand out. We just hope it looks great How long was the wait from council approval to site start for you? Re: Building our dream home Aspiration 29 with Wisdom Homes 18Dec 02, 2012 9:12 am mtjiputra How long was the wait from council approval to site start for you? It was 14 weeks......not the 3 weeks as initialy advised when the DA approval came through. A couple of problems arose during this period, plans had to be resubmitted to council......but many weeks with no explanation as to why the delay, so we were completely over it by the time we finally had site cut. Thankfully the build has been progressing steadily. Edit: I think the standard timeframe from DA to construction certificate is 3 weeks, then another 3 weeks til site scrape....all depending on when trades can be booked etc. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! I'll go crazy by then . Our CSO contacted me yesterday and she did advise 3 weeks so we are probably looking at in the New Year for anything to start. Still waiting for demolition to be completed....
