So I'm having very confused emotions right now. Main emotion is terrified! I'm terrified I'll lose the baby again and also terrified I won't be able to cope with 3! I struggled a fair bit with two.... Wow, congratulations Emy! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy! You will be able to manage three. I found the transition from one to two the hardest. The third just goes along with the flow Mine are all two years apart - what will the age gaps between yours be? AGAIN 684Jul 03, 2014 5:18 pm Woohoo, big congratulations lovely!! Yes, I'm not posting a lot at the moment but still stalking your thread and loving all the progress (well, the positive progress, not so much the hassles). I hope you keep updating as you decorate Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69984 If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - other news... AGAIN 685Jul 03, 2014 7:37 pm House is looking great...but those 2 little lines on that test are even greater huge congratulations hope it all goes smoothly Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - other news... AGAIN 686Jul 03, 2014 8:15 pm Thanks so much everyone. Melsie68 Oh so happy for you . they always say making babies is the fun bit . its the raising them that's hard . I should know I have six .You know what people stragle with one . people think I am crazy that I have had 6 .I probley am . but I don't know any different .yeah they give me the sxxts but you just end up managing and you manage the best way you can . good luck I don't think you're crazy Melsie but I have no idea how you do it! Haha. deluxes Congrats Emy! Wishing you all the best and a safe pregnancy.... From someone who is very fertility challenged and suffers from both PCOS And endometriosis, (I was well and truly designed to not to have babies, thats for sure, a double whammy!) I know how tough and sensitive these things can be. Baby dust and positive thoughts your way Thinking of you Deluxes. cinquain You will be able to manage three. I found the transition from one to two the hardest. The third just goes along with the flow Mine are all two years apart - what will the age gaps between yours be? What a wonderful house warming present xo Thanks Cinquain! That helps a bit to hear. The gap is 3 years between first and second (bigger than we wanted but we had two losses between them) and this time about 2.5 years if bub sticks. It's so early and the odds are against us I'm trying not to think TOO much about it at the moment. Easier said than done! Meanwhile yesterday the 4 year old and I were struck down with gastro in the middle of the night. Why does gastro always strike at 2am?!?! So far the baby's missed it but I'm watching him very nervously. If someone had asked me my worst nightmare of something to happen while hubby's away it would be gastro haha. But we're managing. Thank goodness for my Mum. Carpet was (mostly) installed this evening. We got beautiful smart strand silk carpet. But it's quite obvious that nothing ever goes completely problem free - there's an aluminium edge on the sliding door in the master bedroom which is too low and the carpet doesn't fit under it! Goodness knows how I'll get this fixed.... I'm going to call our Plantation SS tomorrow. It's not on our pci list but surely they'd have to honour fixing a problem like that...? Eeeeeeeeep. I'm really happy with the colour, it's so hard to choose from a swatch! I only got one photo, and the carpet guy and his family are in the way haha. AGAIN 687Jul 03, 2014 9:21 pm Oh that sucks that you guys have gastro on top of everything else, poor things. Hoping you feel better soon! Carpet is looking really good, contrasts well against the tiles. You will be surprised at the sh*t you can take in your stride with three... The older they get, the cuter and more rewarding it is. My elder two girls went for a sleepover at Gran's last night and my younger son was inconsolable... apparently it was too quiet for him They get so great at entertaining one another when they are not fighting. You can design an awesome house.. you can totally manage three kids! I also understand the fear of losing the pregnancy, fx for a sticky bean Xx Building a Regatta 2920 with Planbuild in Brisbane https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71425 Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - other news... AGAIN 688Jul 04, 2014 10:30 am Oh Emy, losing a baby is terrible_ born or still in the uterus. I hope this time will be ok for you guys I hope all goes well with the house too. - Build thread- My Allegra- Dream by Henley Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - other news... AGAIN 689Jul 05, 2014 5:12 pm Emyn...I just had to jump in here and reassure you that 3 is a great number!! I wanted more than two, (actually I wanted 4 but have bad pregnancies) so told to stop at 3. It seems to be easier the more you have cos from toddlers up they always have someone to play with. As for meals, bath and bedtime, that stays a challenging time no matter how many kids you have.... I have also lost 3 so understand your fear. Hope you find it a delightful surprise once you've had time to process.... So much going on for you! Congratulations. Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - other news... Thanks Cinquain and Trees for your reassurance about three kids hehehe. I'm feeling a bit less shocked but trying not to think too much about it until all settled in the new house. :s I can't get over how short my "to-do" list is becoming. It's been 18 months of giant pages full of things to do and now there's only a handful of items. It's very weird and will take some getting used to. We had turf laid which is AWESOME and the tiler is finally finished! Woot! The house is absolutely filthy and being properly cleaned on Wednesday (before we move in Thursday) so I'll hold off on main internal photos til then. But the kitchen splash back tiles went on today. I had a bit of a panic that they make the kitchen a bit too "traditional/old fashioned/provincial" rather than shaker with a modern edge.... but I'm coming around to it.... I think. I've only really got a dim night time photo atm but you get the idea! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Grass in the backyard!!
