Did the bank value it more as build went on? http://www.betterthansheets.com.au - Why use sheets for curtains in your brand new home use Better Than Sheets Temporary Paper blinds instead! Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - countdown to handover!! :D 606Jun 13, 2014 8:59 am Hi suspct, the valuation doesn't actually get reassessed through the build, they just make sure that the work we said would be done HAS been done. We had the valuation come in ~40k less than our totalled invoices (we're in a niche area that's notorioiusly difficult to value for various reasons and all the valuers play it safe. We're not actually concerned about it as we have reason to believe they weren't accurate valuations.) Anyway, we basically had to contribue that shortfall upfront (there went our nice little buffer). So we won't be able to afford much decent furniture/window furnishings/landscaping for a few years unfortunately. (I actually read it on another thread here. ) So popped in to the house today and it was covered in sticky dots! I guess this is how plantation combines pci with handover, they attempt to get a really good quality finish so that there's not much left for us to pick up on (in theory). I'm actually really impressed, the place is COVERED in sticky dots, most of them I can barely see any kind of mark. Green spots means they have to reroll the entire wall apparently. Can you see the defects? I can see two teeny scratches in the last picture...
