Don't the people in their drafting department pick these things up and maybe question it with the client? We had a couple of things like this that we didn't pick up on the plan and was too late to change once it was done. They are the experts. They should advise us on these things!! Btw, bathrooms looking great. Nice neutral colours:) My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - plumbing in 494May 24, 2014 12:48 am See that's what I love about my builder. I went in when the plaster was on and they were starting to hang the doors and I was like oh crud, my light switch is behind a door in the bathroom and I called out to the builder and he was like yeah I know, we're fixing it, wouldn't have even had to ask. Most of them though, don't worry about logic, it's just IT'S ON THE PLANS IT'S ON THE PLANS IT MUST BE RIGHT. I'm SO glad ours wasn't like that or our house would probably have been a mess. I love your slimline switch plates, they're cool. Also the huge shower head is awesome! Man you're powering along. How long til you're finished now? They're not too bad really, they've been quite reasonable and helpful (during the construction phase anyway, admin phase consisted of a whole bunch of lunatics). Lmille I'm hoping for handover around mid June but I hope to get a provisional date early next week. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ However there's an issue with the shell handles, they supplied the wrong ones so we've had to send them back. Thank goodness I happened to be on site when the cabinetmaker was there and noticed they were wrong. I know it seems like a subtle differences but the bottom one is all plastic feeling and bulbous. Blegh. I hope they can find the correct ones to order! Seriously I'm getting a stomach ulcer from all this. Are those cupboards Oberon profile? They look very similar to what we have chosen. How hard is it for people to follow instructions. So frustrating for you. It will come together in the end, just have to get there though. Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - plumbing in 498May 24, 2014 6:20 pm Everything is starting to look great together now. Though all the little errors do add up to make it semi-painful. In the end you'll be glad you made them correct every little thing. Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - plumbing in 499May 24, 2014 7:33 pm Loving it!! Forgive me, but why are the drawers like that? I can't work out what those 'holes' are for? And also, is it just me or is there no room for your stove under the range hood? It's bench? Sorry, probably being uber blonde... Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69984 If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. Re: Our Rocky Forever Home - plumbing in 500May 25, 2014 6:21 am Thanks TiredHalo! MSass they're "Shaker" profile. I'm not sure I came across Oberon in my research. Is that what you're having? CountryHome you are definitely NOT having a blonde moment.... but the stonemason must have been!! That's one of the little issues, they forgot to cut the hole for our stove top. Sigh sigh. The drawers are like that because they're under sinks in the bathroom vanities so they need to fit around the pipes. I'm sure there's a fancier way the pipes could go back through the wall instead of down but we didn't think to ask about that and I'm happy enough with our drawers. So much useful storage compared to our rental vanity that's just awkward shelving. I can't wait haha! Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds.
