It feels a lot bigger and VERY bright. Glad the actual colours we have chosen are going to soften/warm it up abit. I figure now was as good as any to share our paint selections Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Top: Main colour through the house (white ceilings though) Middle: Master bedroom (abit warmer, more grey tones than brown) Bottom: Entry feature wall (again it's a grey although it looks quite like a brown in this sample). Undercoat is impressive.... you can't help but think wow, that's nice. Then the real paint selection goes up. Looking good GC The build - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67554 The Yard - viewtopic.php?f=19&t=67695 Re: Our Custom Build on the Coast (NSW) ~ Undercoating Compl 66Nov 18, 2013 7:55 am Thanks AKB & Kiakhan! On the weekend we put our kitchen together (we got it flat-packed). I can't wait until hubby installs it, he's off to the stone mason this morning to book in our measure for the stone top. Fingers crossed they can get it done by the end of December! Also getting our pricing together for the vinyl flooring (to be laid in next couple weeks) and making some appointments for measure and quote for blinds. Abit ahead of myself with the blinds but I'm getting anxious that if I leave things too long nothing will happen mid-late December. Now if only our tiler would return and finish so we can fit off the bathrooms Re: Our Custom Build on the Coast (NSW) ~ Undercoating Compl 67Nov 19, 2013 7:25 am No your not ahead of yourself, your just organised. You are right to get on to the blinds, it can take longer depending on the fabric you select. It's just too close to Christmas, everyone goes slow leading up to it christmas, businesses have cut off dates/close and trades start their annual holidays. I'm trying to do the same for post handover, carpet layer, blinds ( hoping to have bedrooms done at least), pest spraying and some window tinting. Also lining up quotes for concreting and decking work for 2014. So GC your not ahead of yourself at all After it's all done and I've kicked back a little I might start to feel very bored with the lack of activity. It becomes normal after awhile ykwim? Re: Our Custom Build on the Coast (NSW) ~ Undercoating Compl 69Nov 20, 2013 9:49 am My OH said I can always mow and whipper snip. he's just trying to handover the whipper snipping. I love mowing, especially now we have a ride on. But I do not whipper snip one should always maintain a 50/50 allocation of gardening and household tasks. Here is a sneak peak... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ (Hubby is enclosing the space above the overheads today I think). Laundry is in (excluding sink & tap) and grout is being done on the main bathroom, toilet and laundry today! All that's left in the way of tiling is our ensuite walls next week. Then we can get some items installed!! I also ordered carpet this week, and our new bar stools which will match our pendants better than the ones we have now. Waiting for electrical fit off and we also need to dive into painting (ceilings are finished). Vinyl planks have arrived so they will go down in the next week or so. So much done but unfortunately still abit to go... Colour pallet update with the carpet! (selected top carpet which is more grey than the bottom which is more brown (hard to tell from pictures). You have to make the most of your trades while you have them especially at this time of year! We are in a pretty secure area with neighbours keeping an eye out and hubby is working at the house everyday, we aren't worried.
