Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 21May 19, 2008 5:39 pm Nup haven't heard a peep yet!
I did email them friday... but no word yet. I'm perplexed that the other two are prepping already.... unless they were also due to build in April and were also delayed due to land title. In either case, given that permits would've logically been done at the same time, I'd expect we'd be starting at the same time. Shrug!! I'll let you know as soon as we have action! Thanks for the update! Alan and Thuy in Melbourne Building a second time! Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 22May 20, 2008 10:57 am A bit of an update.....apparently the survey pegs for our land have gone walkabouts meaning they need to re-survey the land. It appears that perhaps the rear neighbour removed/covered/relocated the pegs to put up their temporary fencing.
So I don't know how long that will all take... Alan and Thuy in Melbourne Building a second time! Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 23May 21, 2008 11:19 pm Sorry for the triple post
It looks as if we have action! Our block (as well as the other two Urbanedge lots) have been levelled and the garage area appears to have been dug out. We went and had a look tonight....so it was a bit hard to see what other action was happening there! Karen, do you have a blog or something? It'd be good to keep each other informed of any progress if we either of us go snooping around. Alan and Thuy in Melbourne Building a second time! Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 24May 31, 2008 7:45 pm Hi Alan and Thuy
We have action at last. They have dug our section and pegged it. We have a meter box up as well. There is also a portaloo on site so its getting exciting. I may try and do a blog when i get a chance. Im glad you guys have action as well. Karen B Stage 1 Manhattan Place, Tarneit Porter Davis, Heywood 29 Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 25Jun 01, 2008 2:28 pm Great news!

Building with Porter Davis - Manhatten Place 26Feb 27, 2009 8:25 pm Hi - I'm building with PD in Manhatten Place, stage 3. Titles are due to be released any day now. i'm looking for a good timber fencing provider but having problems getting anyone to actually quote me. i'm looking at AKJ Fencing as they tend to do quite a bit of timber double pailed fencing, does anyone know any other providers that do a top quality job?
Am also looking for a concerter that does exposed aggregate at a reasonable price. just wondering if there is anyone out there that can assist? We've picked out the block but we're just waiting on finance to be confirmed. Unfortunately our broker really stalled so we've changed which has made the process a little longer than it should. Just can't wait to secure the block as we've searched for ages for a block this size for a good price. Danielle & Shane @ Manhattan Place. Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 29Feb 28, 2009 6:50 pm Salt&Pepper BTW, Manhattan Place is a pretty cool name for an estate - sounds rich and posh! yeah I agree - and if you've seen the sign advertising the estate, that looks very posh!!! BTW, I'd love to hear from anyone who as bought a block in Manahattan Place how much they paid for what size block... Cheers, Annie (PS: mrivici, I know a very good fencing guy in the Tarneit area, not expensive, top job, he has a waiting list tho. PM me if you want his details). A thankful person is a happy person. Nice spot... but bloody windy!!
We paid $143k for our block. As far as fencing goes, I won't tell you who I used, but I will say: The neighbours down the road down used U Need A Fence. - Looks terrible. Poor timber, poor finish. After only 3 months some of the boards at the base of the fence are coming off. They also told us that the gate that was delivered was the wrong one, but the guy fitted it anyway...so now they have a big gap under the gate! Across the street used Fenceable fencing. Theirs looks very nice. They had some issues with the fencer though...not sure of the details, but the end product looks nice. Up the other corner was done by Jim's Fencing. It looks very nice, probably the nicest of the lot. I don't know them...so I don't know if they had any issues...but looks nice! Alan and Thuy in Melbourne Building a second time! Stage 3 settlement? 31Mar 13, 2009 9:55 am Hi Guys,
I have recently purchased at Manhattan Place aswell!!! Hi Neighbours! Just wondering is any one has had an update on when stage 3 will be settling becuase i cant get through to anyone anymore! When i was dealing with the sales person Frank, he was great. Who sold the block to all you guys? Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 32Mar 13, 2009 11:45 am We actually found the block of land on the real estate website. Apparently it's an existing stage that has been sold already and settlement is around 2 months, although the date hasn't been confirmed.
Oh, and we are STILL waiting for finance!! Danielle & Shane @ Manhattan Place. Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 33Apr 06, 2009 7:39 pm Our finance was finally approved and land settled today. What a relief. I'm now hoping that our unit sells quickly so we can get started on construction! I'm really looking forward to seeing other houses take shape around us too. Danielle & Shane @ Manhattan Place. Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 34Apr 12, 2009 11:15 pm Hi Everyone, I'm looking at getting land out at Manhattan Place, just wanting to ask the people who are there already, do you know of any bus services running nearby down to werribee or hoppers train station? I'd be catching the train into the city each morning and arvo and would prefer not to take the car to the overpacked train station. Any advice would be great. I've been watching the realestate websites and the land seems to be selling for around the 163k mark, has this gone up quite a bit has it?? Any other info would be great.... love the land size there, but in 2 minds if I want to go that far out Thanks Lorree Deposits paid 29/4/09 Land settlement 12/08/09 Build contract signed 24/08/09 Colours done 28/09/09 BLOG-http://www.eljaysbuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Anyone building in Manhattan Place Tarneit? 35Apr 12, 2009 11:25 pm Oppsss just gone back on and the land seems to be around $175k now??? what the??
