Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 26, 2013 3:17 pm Does anyone have any addresses they can provide (PM or something) of houses with Monument Colorbond roof? Want to see it in person in the eastern Melbourne suburbs if possible. Also has anyone seen a monument roof with a darker colour render than dune? We want something a bit more of a light coffee colour, finding it difficult to find examples. Thanks! Re: Monument Colorbond roof in eastern suburbs? 3May 28, 2013 3:33 pm Thanks, still having trouble finding a Monument roof. We have seen some that we think are Ironstone which isn't too bad, has a slight blue tinge, and some we know are Woodland Grey, but they are too green for us. So tossing up between Monument and Ironstone. Is Monument much darker? Some we have seen that we think might be Monument didn't look that much darker during the day, but didn't have the blue tinge either. Re: Monument Colorbond roof in eastern suburbs? 4May 28, 2013 3:45 pm I don't think that monument is much darker than ironstone, it's just more grey than blue. Here's an aerial photo showing both ironstone and monument - the house at the bottom of the pic (my house) has a monument roof and the other house and shed has ironstone. I think this pic is a good representation of how monument looks in real life. Our render is Dune 200% so a little bit darker than normal Dune. It can really depend on the day and what it is teamed up with as to what shade it looks. Ours is acrylic render. Please keep the pics coming if you have them =), and if anyone can PM me the address of any houses in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne that have Ironstone or Monument roof (preferably rendered as well), it would be greatly appreciated! Re: Monument Colorbond roof in eastern suburbs? 11May 28, 2013 9:17 pm This is the best picture I have that shows the roof and the render colour, we have a low pitch so you can't see the roof too well. you can see the roof to the side, this is monument with tristan. Top level is flooded gum http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff138/pgesyq/20130419_164552_zps83a84bed.jpg Re: Monument Colorbond roof in eastern suburbs? 15Aug 14, 2014 9:55 pm hi ive been reading your thread about monument roofs in eastern suburbs of Melbourne - I know this post is from last year but I stumbled on it as we are planning to build in Heathmont (easter suburbs) and planning a monument colorbond roof but not sure if its too dark.....did you ever find out any addresses in eastern Melbourne to go and see? wed like to see something in real life before we commit but we keep finding only woodland grey!! any help would be much appreciated! thanks! Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10281 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18957 10 15811 |
